Wonder Woman Wigs

May 22, 2008 23:30

I am thinking about getting a wig for my Wonder Woman costume. I really don't like teasing my hair and I think it would take alot of pressure off just to have a wig and put it on for her. I'm not experienced at all in getting wigs and wanted to see if y'all had any thoughts or suggestions. I've done some looking at this one but I feel there might ( Read more... )

Hmmm... Is that the length you are after for Wonder Woman? It looks like it might be a bit too short.

I use Natalie XL for mine (because I wanted it really long), but they also do it in the shorter length. It's good some good waves in it, it's not too long, and it will style really well. It has a skin top, so you can put the part wherever you like, so don't be put off by the picture.

In particular, I like how this wig sits when the tiara is in front of it. The skin top gives it a lot of body, instead of being limp at the hairline, if that makes sense?

It's a really nice wig as well. I'm tempted to buy it in other colours for other costumes too. lol

That wig is soooo pretty. I just love the way it's styled. I didn't know you used a wig for Wonder Woman.

Thanks for the suggestion!

No worries! :)

I wear wigs for most of my costumes. My hair in my Mara Jade, jedi, and my hufflepuff student is my real hair, but everything else is a wig. lol I'm glad my WW wig doesn't look like a wig!

The wigs are handy in that you can just throw them on and it's already done. It doesn't matter if you are having a bad hair day. but if your own hair is close, then it's easy to do you own hair styled. It's not always faster either, as you will still need to get your own hair evenly under the wig, and they can be a bit uncomfortable after a while and can get hot if the weather is warm. I love the way they look, but I am always glad when I get to take them off at the end of the day and let my head breathe!

Sometimes they are fantastic and convenient though :)

Honestly, I don't think you need a wig! You've got perfectly gorgeous curly hair (the way you wear it for Hermione is perfect!) and I think it looks great! You shouldn't need to tease hair to get a curl. You could look into using a curling creame (don't use mousse as it makes the hair stiff) if you want more defined curls. But in my honest opinion, your natural hair looks great ( ... )

Well thank you! I might just do that, curl my hair and just use alot of hairspray. I am going to get some temporary hair dye and darken my hair. I need to do this for my River costume as well.

I don't think I'd use the Belle wig honestly. I seems like it would be hot and I don't like how short it is in the back. Belle's hair is alot longer than that.

Oh that is cool. Are you going to get the Belle wig?

Probably not. After what I spent on River's nailheads and at the leather shop I can't afford to get any really lol.
