Picnic Fabric and Ribbons

Not really progress but still gives me a reason to update!

I wahsed my corset fabric today. I know its not big, but it's something! My next step is to dye the fabric, wash it again, then cut out the pieces. I still have to make a muslim of the corset so I can work out any problems on the mock up rather than my actual fabric. I must admit I am a bit ( Read more... )

Ooooh yay! :D I'll have to check out these ribbons, coz they sound great! And I know there are about 4 or 5 of us wanting to do the picnic dress here in AUS so we'd probably all do a group order for them.

*giggles* I feel like the spelling nazi, but it's muslin not muslim (Muslims are a religious group of people).

You guys need an Aussie Picnic helpline. lol. BTW, do y'all refer to yourselves as Aussies? I LOVE Australia, even though I've never been there. I want to go there the most of anywhere in the world, especially to the Great Barrier Reef!

And Ooops. I am a HORRIBLE spelled and proofer. I make mistakes all the time, especially online because most of the time I do not spell check things. I will remember though that it's muslin to avoid any more embaressing situations. lol. Thanks. :)

hahah yeah :P Actually, funnily enough, 3 of us all live in the same state :P I'm going to get the sequins for one of the ladies for Christmas (hopefully, gotta remember to order them doh!) as inspiration for her to make it. She's not much of a SW fan (having only JUST watched the movies as I constantly talked about them :P) but she fell in love with the picnic gown.

Yup, we do call ourselves Aussies :D I may be biassed, but I think Australia is one of the best places to live in the world. I used to want to move overseas, but now I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! :D I haven't been to the GBR yet, but I'v eheard it's beautiful. Though with all the coral bleaching (from the raised tmeperatures) it's dying quite quickly :(

That's ok! I'm pretty bad when it comes to typos! My brain just moves too fast for my fingers to keep up! I often cop flack from everyone coz I'm forever correcting people's spelling and grammar...ooops!
