Well its 2 am and I am ALMOST complete with my battle costume. Just have the cut the arm bands out. The real one is made out of different links that go together in the arm band, but I'm out of time so I'm just going to cut a soild arm band. Other than that, everything's done.

Well I'm about to fall over so I better get some sleep. I'll post up ( Read more... )

I think you did a great job on your costume. I was one of the people that trooped with you at the parade, my name is Larry. I was the tall Biker Scout.

Hi Larry! And thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I felt so bad today and nothing seemed to be going right on that costume it makes me feel better to get some praise. lol.

Sorry we didn't get to offically meet, everything happened so quickly I didn't really get to talk to anyone. I'm sad we weren't able to get a group photo. We had a good crowd there and no pictures to show it seems. :(

I am not sure when I will get the chance to troop with the Garrison again since I am going to be shipped to Lackland AFB for Basic Training on Sunday.

I heard that you made your Imperial Officer uniform. I was wondering how hard it was to make and how much it cost. I was looking in getting a non-armor uniform and the officer just looks cool.

That's a shame about not being able to troop again. Maybe one day...

As for the Imperial Officer, I found it to be a pretty simple costume to make. My dad's was hard though, but we used two different patterns. Mine was a woman's jacket pattern and it fit very well to my body. My dad's was a bit more difficult to make and I hated the pattern for it.

The costs...hmm...well I bought the hat for $20 online. The fabric was I believe $30 but I have a ton left over. My dad's belt was $15, the belt buckle was $3. The greeblie on the belt was $6 I think. The code cyllinders were $4 each. And his boots were $40. We are also trying to get better rank bars, so in total for my dad's costume is about $130, but that is a rough estimate and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
