You'll like it. When you think about it, there aren't many Enterprise effects in "The Cage," so there's not really that much to see in that respect. But it's a nice restoration, and some of the little touches are clever.

I kinda object on moral grounds, but since both versions of effects are included on the BD, I've giving it a chance. I even just set the TiVO to record "The Cage"...one of my favorite TOS-ish episodes. (This should be the first time "The Cage" is being aired in this form, right?)

Aired, yes (I think)--but they also included it on the Trek Season 3 remastered package.

Yeah, I never bothered with the remastered DVD sets. I was always holding out for the high def release, which comes on Tuesday (for S1, anyway).
