Because of the release of their album “Jump No. 1” last month, this month we have a Q&A in which they answer questions about their no. 1 things. For example, ‘What is the no. 1 household appliance you want to have?’ or ‘What is the no. 1 food that goes together with white rice?’. We also asked them about their highlights of ‘Summary 2010’, the concert tour they’re currently performing.

The no. 1 household appliance you want to have? A vacuum cleaner that can do everything by itself.

The no. 1 television drama series in which a sempai or kouhai starred? Nagase-kun’s ‘Mukodono!’. I don’t even know how many times I’ve seen it already.

The no. 1 thing you buy at the combini? The unnecessary things I buy without thinking

The no. 1 food that goes together with white rice? Furikake (dried condiment that’s sprinkled on top of rice) from Kyuushuu. However, my friends from Tokyo think it’s not very good. It’s not really popular.

The no. 1 place where you want to live? In my twenties, it’s Tokyo. During my thirties, I want to live in the Shounan region (about 50 kilometers southwest of Tokyo) and when I’m older than 50, I want to live in the countryside.

The no. 1 style ramen? Rich tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen + rice + nori. This combination is the best!

The no. 1 sport you would like to try? Kyuudou. (Japanese archery)

Your no. 1 painful experience? Knocking into the same car twice. Nobody was hurt, but mentally it was quite painful.

The no. 1 type of behavior of a girl? When a girl gives this kind of distant feeling, but then unexpectedly smiles sweetly.

The no. 1 musical instrument you want to try? A koto. (A traditional Japanese music instrument with 13 strings) These days, I’m very interested in traditional Japanese things!

The no. 1 privilege girls have? They have so many toilets in department stores and places like that.

Who are your no. 1 friends in Johnny’s besides JUMP? B.A.D.

The no. 1 type of meat? Steak that feels like it melts when you put it in your mouth!

The no. 1 JUMP single that’s most like you? ‘UMP’. When I hear that song, I remember the moment we appeared on stage during our debut interview.

The no. 1 Johnny’s song? Kinki Kids’ ‘Bonnie Butterfly’.

The no. 1 joke? The jokes my friends make.

The no. 1 member who is always able to make you laugh? Inoo-kun.

The no. 1 person you talk to about your worries? My friends. But, on the contrary, I don’t talk about those things with my best friend. There’s always a certain atmosphere between us, even if we don’t talk about things like that.

The no. 1 thing from a yakiniku restaurant besides the meat? Tare sauce mixed with sesame oil and salt.

The no. 1 Japanese-style sweets? Monaka. (Wafer cake filled with red or white bean jam) Being at a calm place while drinking green tea... It makes me long for an atmosphere like that.

The no. 1 foreign place you would like to go to? Los Angeles. A friend of mine is studying there, I would like to use that as an excuse to go and have fun there!

The no. 1 member who loves new stuff the most? Arioka-kun.

The no. 1 vehicle? A car a friend is driving. Fun!

The no. 1 handmade meal you would like to receive from a girl? A hamburger.

The no. 1 sushi topping? Nattou roll. When I was little, I ate nothing but that.

The no. 1 part-time job you admire? Working at a combini.

The no. 1 ingredient for miso soup? Sweet potato juice from Kagoshima (Kyuushuu).

The no. 1 relaxing place? The beach.

Your no. 1 weak point? Traffic jams. Even when I’m not in a hurry, it irritates me!

The no. 1 thing that’s on your mind right now? When this Wink Up goes on sale, would I be able to go to the beach? Going in the evening would be fine too, I really want to go!

The no. 1 highlight of Summary? This time, my highlight is something typical me: all the intense dances. For me, who was dancing all the time, this was remarkable!
