[The day seemed like any other normal day. And the evening seemed like any other normal evening. For the first time in a while, Minato had gone to bed before midnight. He liked to sleep, maybe a little more than others. But he woke up much earlier than he expected. Much earlier. Around 2 in the morning. Not anyone's normal waking time.

How are you doing?

[He had been tempted to hold his head in his hands out of his guilt and how distressed he had been over it, but resisted, and instead lowered his head and averted her eyes. He had to tell her.]
... I attacked Akihiko-senpai.
[That should have been enough to tell her how he was.]

Is he alright? Where is he?

... He's in his room.
[He thought if he concentrated hard enough he could make out his heartbeat over hers.]

You...just left him then? What condition was he in when you left?

I used Salvation on him. I think it worked... for any physical wounds.
[He brought a hand up and covered his eyes with his hand. Closing his eyes didn't make any of what he had witnessed go away.]

Then, he's probably alright. The spell is powerful. [She watched him uneasily and moved a bit closer, she wasn't one to offer physical comfort but she could at least try to be there]
It's alright, Minato. I'm certain Akihiko will realize that you are not quite yourself.

I'm sorry...
[Because that is all he had been thinking. He had to apologize to her, to him, to everyone. While he knew it hadn't been his fault, it was still... him to some extent. It wasn't anyone else that Akihiko had seen, it was him.]

You have nothing to apologize for, it's this place, right? It changed you, you have no control over that. [At least that's what she thought right now, it couldn't have really been him that attacked Akihiko. Minato would never do that if he was in his right mind. She had to keep telling herself that. She just hoped she was right about Akihiko being okay, she couldn't get the worry out of her mind though.]

[Anything. But it had been too late already and it had been out of his control, that was true. Still, guilt and regret lingered.]
... I hope he's okay too.

[She wants him to believe that.]
I hope so as well, I'm certain he is. How will you be? Do you need...[blood or whatever it is that vampires need.]
Reply
You're right. Thank you, Senpai.
[He smiled a little at her when she asked, trying hard to suppress a shiver. Akihiko had helped stave off the need for it, which was a disturbing thought already.]
I'm okay for now... I should be.

There's nothing for you to thank me for, it's simply the truth.
[She nodded.]
Do you have any idea how long this might continue?
Reply
Still... [Though she could guess that he was probably going to agree and thank her again.]
The events only last about three to four days. Others might be affected, so we'll have to be careful. [He was going to do all he could to prevent her from suffering how Akihiko did.]
Reply
You're more than welcome.
[That news wasn't something she wanted to hear, but at least she'd be prepared.] Three to four days...alright. We can handle this, it's certainly not the worst we've been through. [Although it was substantially different than anything else.] Will you be able to make it that long without...[she couldn't bring herself to actually say blood, so she just hoped that he'd know what she was thinking.]
