When did everyone start getting older and growing up

Sometime around when I noticed gray hairs in my beard (which is still scraggly and doesn't grow anywhere near as fully as I'd like).

Seriously, though. A few of my friends are engaged, and it freaks my shit out. Especially when my friend Dave, who is younger than I am, wakes me up to tell me he's getting married.
