That's too bad, but it merely confirms my suspicions. I was wondering why it was taking him so long to write the script. This just ensures that I will not watch the film. Hopefully he'll be able to move onto better stuff, but I fear this is just another downsizing of our favorite writer/director.
Actually, he only completed the first draft of the scrpt last may, so it hasn't been that long. In May everyone said it wa still going well, the studio had looked at the first draft and had some comments, but quite enjoyed it, yada yada yada.
Now it's all "incompatible views" etc. :(
I suppose at least this'll give him more time to work on Goners, which he's been excited about for a bit now . . .
I guess I was just surpised that Wonder Woman was taking so long to write considering how quickly he wrote the script for Serenity. But the former was probably a lot harder to write than the latter.
Well that certainly simplifies things for me... I have no interest in watching a wonderwoman movie, but would have to if it were Joss. Know, there is no longer a conflict. Though I am saddened that I will not be viewing any new Whedon goodness anytime soon.
I'm actually betting Goners will be released before the new Wonder Woman at this rate. Particularly since Joss has said that it's the movie that's more him than anything else, and it's what he really wants to create. We probably won't get quite Serenity speeds of production, but it should be quite fast.
