Pairing: Eunhyuk/Kyuhyun
Title: Favorite Snowflake
Eunhyuk can't remember much of his kindergarten days. He can remember that he used to be a crybaby because his classmates kept teasing him for looking like a monkey and a boy who liked to draw different kinds of snowflakes.
Eunhyuk can't remember the name or the face of the boy. His kindergarten pictures along with the rest of his childhood pictures and the house he used to live in was burned down by fire. All he can remember is that the boy would give him a beautiful drawing of a snowflake to stop him from crying.
Eunhyuk wouldn't have thought of his kindergarten days if he didn't find a sketchbook filled with beautiful drawings of nature including snowflakes.
"I think that belongs to me." A voice spoke up which made Eunhyuk snapped the sketchbook shut.
"Oh. You've got really nice drawings. Really talented!!!" Eunhyuk complimented as he gave the sketchbook back to the owner. "I really liked the snowflakes."
"Thank you. The snowflakes are my favorite." The stranger smiled.
Eunhyuk couldn't seem to shake off the feeling of familiarity coming from the strange. "I'm Eunhyuk, by the way." He stretched his hand to offer a handshake.
"Kyuhyun." He tucked the stechbook under his armpit and shook Eunhyuk's hand.
"Hey, you didn't happen to attend SM Kindergarten School, did you?" Eunhyuk thought it was probably the stupidest question ever. Like what are the chances of this stranger being his kindergarten classmate?
"I did. Did you?" Kyuhyun threw the question back.
"...yeah, I did too. I think we were classmate. Sunflower class?"
"Yeah. You too?"
Eunhyuk nooded.
"Wow! What are the chances of meeting a kindergarten classmate after all these years?" Kyuhyun laughed.
"Must be fate." Eunhyuk could finally put a name and a face on the little kindergarten boy, who loves to draw snowflakes, in his memories.

They don't hang out that much with each other since they go to different schools, hang out with different people and have different interests but they do keep in contact and remain good friends.
E: Hey, are you free right now?
K: Class ends at 5 minutes.
E: I'm right outside your school.
K: Meet you at the school's front gate.
It's one of the times when Eunhyuk would suddenly text Kyuhyun asking them to meet up with each other. The first time it happened was an emergency sort of... because Eunhyuk just had to talk to someone about his heartbreak. He was rejected by a girl he liked for 3 years and thought it was embarassing to share his story to his close friends so he chose his childhood friend namely Kyuhyun instead.
The other times were completely random like when Eunhyuk got two free movie tickets and asked Kyuhyun to go with him. Kyuhyun asked why didn't he just choose one of his close friends. Eunhyuk reasoned out that he doesn't want his close friends to have bitter feelings with each other if one got chosen and the others are not.
It's completely random this time too.
"What's this? It's not my birthday." Kyuhyun said as he received a small giftbox.
"I saw it and couldn't resist buying it for you. Don't open it until you reach home or at least when I disappear from your sight." Eunhyuk was blushing. He looked very embarrassed and started to walk away fast.
Kyuhyun thought that was weird and waited until he couldn't see Eunhyuk anymore. He tugged the small ribbon and opened the box. There was a beautiful silver snowflake engraved with diamonds in some parts.

The next time they saw each other Eunhyuk saw that Kyuhyun was wearing the snowflake pendant. He didn't comment about it but felt happy seeing it. He also noticed how Kyuhyun would unconsciously touch the pendant sometimes.
It was also the first time that Kyuhyun sent a text message to Eunhyuk asking for them to meet. Eunhyuk thought that it was an emergency because Kyuhyun never sent him a text message first. It had always been Eunhyuk, who would send text message first and asked for them to meet.
But it turned out that it wasn't an emergency. Kyuhyun just gave him a CD. "It's a project from music class. My teacher finished grading it and gave it back to me today. I really have no use for it and I can always just make another one if I want so..." He handed the CD to Eunhyuk.
"Oh. Thanks." Eunhyk accepted the CD, looking at it curiously. Once he arrived in his house, he immediately placed the CD in the player and listened to it. It turned out to be a remix of different songs.
E: Your CD is totally cool!!! You really did this?!?!
K: Yeah so I'm assuming you like it?
E: Of course! I'll totally make a dance choreography and use it for the upcoming dance competition. You have DJ skills, you know!!!
K: I still prefer drawing and painting but if you want me to remix more songs, I'll be glad to do so.

Eunhyuk woke up feeling cold. It wasn't the sunshine that greeted him. It was the falling snow. His hand reached for his cellphone to send Kyuhyun a text.
E: Good morning! I see beautiful snowflakes outside.
K: Not as beautiful as the snowflake you gave me.
It was the first time Kyuhyun had mentioned the snowflake pendant that Eunhyuk gave to him. Eunhyuk felt happy about it and thought that it's gonna be a great morning.
E: Not as beautiful as the person who gave it to you.
K: You person who gave it to me totally looks like a monkey.
E: Dork!
K: Monkey!

They met up a few days later. They seem like a crazy pair because who would be crazy enough hang out at the park in such a cold weather. They were sitting on the park bench. Kyuhyun was drawing snowflakes while Eunhyuk was holding a large umbrella to prevent the snow falling over them and on Kyuhyun's sketchbook.
"What if I want to be more than just friends?" Eunhyuk cuts off the silence between them.
"Do you want to see my favorite snowflake?" Kyuhyun stopped from drawing and flipped the pages of his sketchbook.
Eunhyuk frowned. "I thought your favorite snowflake is the one I gave you."
"Well, you thought wrong." Kyuhyun handed his sketchbook to Eunhyuk. It was opened on a specific page.
Eunhyuk didn't expect to see a drawing of himself. "I wasn't aware that you draw people too." He blinked a few times, totally shock. "Wait... does that mean I'm your favorite snowflake?"
"Would you rather be a monkey?"
Eunhyuk pouted. He watched as Kyuhyun caught a snowflake. Kyuhyun teasingly pressed the snowflake on Eunhyuk's lips. Eunhyuk was about to complain about the coldness when Kyuhyun's warm lips pressed against his own.

A/N: Originally, this was short with just 300 words and ended around when Eunhyuk said "it must be fate". Then I was like... talking to myself "Jishu, you've been writing short fics lately. Just because you're almost done with the 100fic challenge you're starting to hurry it up by writing short fics. Think about your fans!!! I mean... uh... readers~ " So I continued writing it.
