Title: I Love You More Than Shopping, Fashionable, Expensive, Branded and Signature Items
(A/N: Hahahahaha!!! That's one heck of a long title >.>)
They say it’s easy to become Heechul’s boyfriend as long as you’re rich but even if you are rich, they say it’s not easy to stay as Heechul’s boyfriend. Zhoumi finally understood what they meant when he became Heechul’s boyfriend.
Heechul was quite rich himself coming from a family that was involved in the food chain business. His hobby? Shopping. He simply loved shopping, fashionable, expensive items and anything that would look good on him. His parents, according to Heechul, were capital KJ (kill joy) because they won’t give him anything more than his allowance. They want Heechul to learn how to budget and stop spending.
So what Heechul did was get himself a rich boyfriend. It’s easy because he’s beautiful, hot, sexy and manipulative. He would always ask or manipulate his rich boyfriend to buy things for him. If his rich boyfriend would be able to buy it for him, Heechul would allow a make-out session and perhaps a blowjob or hand job but it never went to full out sex. When the rich boyfriend gets too clingy or stops spoiling Heechul, then Heechul would simply break up with him and get a new rich boyfriend. It’s not hard to do so considering there’s actually a long list of people wanting Heechul as their boyfriend.
It was finally Zhoumi’s turn to become Heechul’s boyfriend. He was similar to Heechul’s previous boyfriends in terms of being rich and spoiling Heechul. The difference would be… 1) He’s Chinese and he’s the first Chinese boyfriend Heechul had. 2) He actually enjoys shopping and spoiling Heechul. It’s not just an act and he’s not asking or wanting anything in return. Not even a kiss. 3) It’s not only Heechul who he likes to spoil but he also likes to spoil the children in the orphanage with toys and clothes.
Zhoumi wanted to stop by the orphanage before heading the mall. Heechul allowed it because Zhoumi promised it won’t take long. Heechul stayed in the car and watched as Zhoumi held a large box full of toys and clothes. He handed it to the owner of the orphanage. Some orphans who had seen Zhoumi, went up to hug the Chinese.
“YEY!!! New toys!!! Thanks, Mr. Zhoumi!!!” A kid said as he hugged Zhoumi.
Zhoumi ruffled the kid’s hair. “Anytime, kid.”
“Won’t you stay and play?” Another orphan asked.
“Not today. I have a date. Next time I visit, I promise I’ll play with you guys.” Zhoumi said affectionately before going back to the car and driving off, heading to the mall.
Heechul doesn’t know why he was completely moved and touched at what Zhoumi did. The scene he had seen earlier kept on replaying in his mind. Because of this, he was shopping half-heartedly and didn’t buy anything although 3 hours had passed by. He would usually have at least one thing by the 1st hour.
“Heechul, are you okay? You seem to be out of it.” Zhoumi said in concern. “Do you want to just go home and have some rest?”
“Why do you spend money in buying clothes and toys for the orphans?” Heechul suddenly asked.
Zhoumi was surprised at the question but nevertheless, he answered. “Because I’m blessed to be rich so I should share my blessings with the poor. Besides, I also used to be an orphan. I’m just lucky enough to be adopted by a rich couple.”
It was the first time Heechul heard something about Zhoumi because relationships with Heechul had always been about Heechul and never about the other. Heechul tried to recall his previous boyfriends if they ever said anything about themselves but all Heechul could remember was how they boast about having a new car or whatever expensive item it was. Heechul’s past relationships had always been superficial so how was his relationship with Zhoumi any different?
“Then why do you spend money for me? I’m not poor. I come from a rich family and yet, you spoil me to no end even my own parents don’t do that.” Heechul anticipated Zhoumi’s answer.
“Oh, I have another reason for that.” Zhoumi smiled. “It’s because I love you.” It was the first time Heechul had heard those words being said so sincerely and meaningfully.
After that, Heechul had changed. Sure, he still loved shopping and letting Zhoumi spoil him but he donated a lot of his items to the poor and different charities. Most items were old but it looked quite new because Heechul doesn’t use it that much. Some items were never used and looked very new. When he goes shopping, he also had the tendency to buy new toys and clothes for the children in the orphanage that Zhoumi frequent went to. He later found out that it was the same orphanage that Zhoumi actually lived in when he was young.
“I really hate children. They’re so hyperactive and naughty. Some were so hard to feed because they’re so picky with their food. There’s one kid who actually pulled my hair!!! My beautifully styled hair!!!” After spending a day in the orphanage with the kids, Heechul had a lot of complaints when he and Zhoumi were in the privacy of Zhoumi’s car.
But as Heechul continued to complain, Zhoumi can’t help but smile fondly at his boyfriend. Even if Heechul complained a lot, Zhoumi could see that Heechul had actually enjoyed being in the orphanage and spending time with the kids. It was Heechul’s first time to be in the orphanage and he wasn’t good in handling the kids but he learned and the kids were happy with Heechul’s presence.
Heechul stopped complaining when he was suddenly hugged by Zhoumi. “Thank you.” Zhoumi had whispered in Chinese to Heechul’s ear.
Heechul could clearly hear the sincerely in Zhoumi’s voice. “What for?” He was about to hug back but Zhoumi had already released him.
“You made those kids in the orphanage happy. You made the workers and owner in the orphanage happy. They mean a lot to me. You probably have no idea how much you made me happy today.” Zhoumi held both of Heechul’s hands as he stared directly to Heechul’s eyes. “I thought I love you but now, I’ve really fallen deep for you.”
Heechul inhaled sharply as he heard those words. He never received such an honest and sincere confession before. He should be happy… well, he is but not fully because he doesn’t know what to do or how to answer. It troubled him how Zhoumi could be so in love with him but not even wanting anything from him. He didn’t ask Heechul to love him, didn’t even ask for a kiss. “I-I think it’s about time you should take me home.” Heechul removed his hands and looked away.
“Ah, of course. It’s getting late.” After all, they had dinner in the orphanage and stayed until it was time for the kids to sleep. Zhoumi was disappointed a bit with Heechul’s reply but he felt too happy to let the small disappointment affect his mood so he continued to smile and talk freely. Heechul went back to complaining about the kids.
“Heechul, let’s break up.” Heechul never thought those words being said to him because it was always him who said those words. They had been dating for 6 months when those words were finally spoken by Zhoumi. Six months was actually a long time because Heechul’s previous boyfriends would only last up to 2-3 months.
Usually, Heechul would only reply one word and that would be “Okay.” But Heechul’s reply to Zhoumi was different because it was “Why?” He wanted to know why. Things were looking good for him so why the sudden break up?
“You usually date your boyfriends for a week or a month and the longest had been like 2-3 months but we’ve been dating for 6 months now. Aren’t you tired or bored of me? Isn’t it suppose time to change your boyfriend?”
Heechul stared at Zhoumi before snapping out. “You’re breaking up with me because you think it’s time for me to change my boyfriend?!?!?! What kind of reason is that?!?!? It’s ME who decides when to break off!! Got that?!?!”
Zhoumi was shock because he had never seen Heechul snapped… well, he did but it wasn’t directed to him in the past. “Why are you so angry anyway? You really don’t want to break off with me?”
Heechul suddenly became a bit embarrassed and shy when he realized the answers to those questions. “I like you a lot. I never even thought of breaking up with you. Not once since we started this relationship… and we haven’t even kissed yet.”
“But if I’m not rich anymore, then you wouldn’t like me anymore, right? As for the kiss, I’ve told you before that you should only kiss me when you really want to but you probably don’t like me enough to do that.”
Then suddenly Heechul’s lips were moving against his. He stopped kissing Zhoumi when his hands had felt something wet. When he opened his eyes, he saw that Zhoumi was crying and that his hands that were placed on Zhoumi’s face were wet with tears.
“I love you, Heechul.” Zhoumi blurted out. “I’m happy because you managed to like me back even if it’s not as much as I love you but that’s already a huge thing considering that you never had feelings with your previous boyfriends. Honestly, I don’t want to break up with you but…” Zhoumi stopped talking because he was crying too much, he couldn’t talk properly anymore.
Heechul had hugged Zhoumi and let his boyfriend cry on his shirt. He was worried because Zhoumi was emotional so there must have been a deep reason why he was crying like this. Zhoumi had started explaining once he had calmed down. “My father had been gambling behind our backs. He lose a lot of money and properties. His company almost went bankrupt. My mother had been very angry. They’ve fought a lot these past few years but this time, it’s really a big fight and they decided on a divorce. None of them even want to keep me since I’m just adopted anyway and not their real blood-related son. They think I’m a burden and they even scolded me in the middle of their fight saying that all I did was have fun and spend money and that I never had to work my ass off.”
“When did this all happen?”
“Last week.”
Heechul had understood now why Zhoumi hadn’t been spoiling him. Now, he felt guilty for always complaining on how Zhoumi doesn’t love him because he doesn’t spoil him anymore this past week. “If none of them had taken you, then where are you living at?”
“Back in the orphanage.” Zhoumi replied bitterly. “Not that it’s such a bad thing. I like the people there. My so-called parents are still fixing the papers for the divorce. Then they will fix some papers that would disown me. I’ll probably transfer to a school with cheaper tuition after this semester if I won’t be able to get a scholarship in this school.”
Now, it was Heechul’s turn to cry. He had never felt so thankful and relief for living such a good life and being born in a rich family. “You’ve spent a lot of money on me before. Let me return it to you. I’ll tell my parents to provide your tuition. I’ll also ask them if you could live with me. You could look for a part-time job for your monthly allowance. I’ll even join you in your part-time job and give you the monthly allowance that I’ll earn!!!” He said determinedly as he wiped his tears away.
“You don’t really have to do that.” Zhoumi said. He was grateful enough that Heechul was concerned for him. “I’ll manage somehow.”
“No, you won’t be fine by yourself!!! Let me help you.”
“But it’s too much…”
“It’s not too much for someone I love.”
Zhoumi took Heechul’s mouth and kissed him lovingly again. He was happy that Heechul returned his feelings and wanted to continue their relationship despite his situation. He was glad that something good happened after those bad events.
Heechul’s parents had approved of Zhoumi. They already knew about Heechul’s sexual orientation anyway so there wasn’t too much drama going on. They have noticed how Heechul had changed a lot lately and they were glad to finally meet the person who had been a good influence to Heechul. They listened to Zhoumi’s situation in which Heechul had explained to them privately to save Zhoumi from embarrassment and they were very much willing to help Zhoumi.
“Zhoumi, you’re a good kid. Your foster parents have no idea what they lost.” Mr. Kim said as ruffled Zhoumi’s hair playfully. “If you weren’t Heechul boyfriend, I wouldn’t mind adopting you.”
“Thank you for everything, sir and ma’am. I shall return your kindness and help to you someday.” Zhoumi said politely.
“You can just call us, mom and dad since you’re going to be Heechul’s future husband.”
“Mom!!!” Heechul blushed furiously and glared at his mother, causing Heechul’s parents and Zhoumi to laugh.
Zhoumi and Heechul doesn’t date as much as they used to because they’ve decided to take part-time jobs but when they date, instead of going to malls, they went to certain place called China Town. The things in the mall could be seen there with only half or very much lesser than the price of the items in the malls. To top it off, Heechul didn’t buy a lot. He would only buy the top 3 that he liked very much. He wouldn’t even let Zhoumi pay for it claiming that it was cheap anyway so he could afford it in his own.
Heechul had learned to love free things and discounts and coupons and stuff like those. They don’t eat in expensive restaurants anymore. They just eat at those food stalls in China Town. Heechul had even learned how to love fake stuff because it’s almost like the original anyway. Zhoumi became even more surprised when Heechul talked a bit of Chinese to some of the sellers. When Heechul opened his bag to get his wallet, Zhoumi caught a glimpse of a Chinese dictionary. Heechul had even learned how to love fake stuff because it’s almost like the original anyway.
Zhoumi treasured the stress ball that Heechul gave to him because it was the first thing he had ever received from Heechul. Besides, it was a cute colored ball, which Zhoumi always make sure to be in his bag. Who knows when he would get stressed? Well, he actually got stressed when Heechul’s admirers would try to steal Heechul away from him.
“Heechul, won’t you go out with me?“ Heechul’s admirer showed off a rare and expensive item. “I heard he doesn’t spoil you anymore. I’m richer than him. I can spoil you forever if you want. I can give you everything that Zhoumi can’t offer.”
Zhoumi was hiding behind a wall as he observed them. He looked at Heechul, who stared at the expensive and rare item. There was a bit of interest in his eyes but then, it vanished.
“Sorry but I love Zhoumi than any other expensive and rare item out there.” Heechul replied. “And you’re wrong about Zhoumi. He hadn’t stopped spoiling me at all. He just doesn’t spoil me with money or items anymore. He spoils me with his love.”
Heechul’s admirer had looked at him in shock before giving up a sigh of defeat but he didn‘t look thoroughly disappointed. “You’ve really changed Heechul. You used to be always willing to enter in a relationship with me back then. People even thought that I might be the one for you because we always somehow get back together but now, you’re not even willing to stop being Zhoumi’s boyfriend.”
“Siwon, I admit that what we had was also different from my other boyfriends and I’m sure we could have ended up together again somehow if I didn’t meet Zhoumi but I met him and I love him very much.”
“Well, if you ever get fed up with Zhoumi, I’ll be around.” Siwon winked.
Heechul laughed. “I appreciate the offer but no thanks.” It was only when Siwon left that Zhoumi had made his appearance, hugging Heechul from behind and trailed kisses on Heechul nape. “So what did I do to earn these kisses?” Heechul asked because even if Zhoumi liked to cuddle, hug and hold hands, he was awkward and shy in giving kisses and anything more than that.
“You made me happy.” Zhoumi whispered, his lips brushing against Heechul’s eat. “I know that you were interested in the item that Siwon was holding but you still chose me in the end.”
“Ah, you were eavesdropping.” Heechul said accusingly.
“I didn’t mean to.” Zhoumi replied, loosening his hug so Heechul can turn and face him.
“Have faith in me, Mimi. I’m not the same Heechul that you’ve started a relationship with. I won’t easily be persuaded with money or items anymore.”
“Mimi?” Zhoumi questioned his new girly nickname but he really couldn’t complain when Heechul poured all his love into the kiss.
