“Why did you both have to be absent on the same day?!?! You left me all alone!!! I was so lonely yesterday.” Donghae sniffed. He was really innocent. He didn’t even think of the possibility that Eunhyuk and Sungmin might have spent the day being absent together.
“I’m sorry, Donghae. It won’t happen again.” Eunhyuk hugged Donghae affectionately and patted Donghae's head. Sungmin felt a bit of jealousy but he knew that Eunhyuk was always such a caring person that he would probably do the same thing to anybody. Sungmin concluded that he might be feeling more attached to Eunhyuk because of what happened in between them but it probably would just fade away when things go back to normal. After all, he did say it himself that it would just be a one night stand and he really doesn’t want to use such a good friend namely Eunhyuk as a way to forget about Kibum.
“Shindong is celebrating his birthday tonight at his mansion. Everybody in the entire batch is invited. Being rich is so awesome!!! He gets to invite a lot of people!!! There will be lotsa food!!! And we wouldn’t even have to worry cleaning up after because there will be servants to do that job.” Donghae continued to blabber happily while Eunhyuk was listening intently to him. Sungmin was a bit lost in his thoughts but he was still able to hear some of the things that Donghae said. That night they ended up attending at Shindong’s birthday party at his mansion.
There was a lot of people. Lots of familiar, not so familiar and unfamiliar faces that Sungmin was categorizing inside his head. Somehow he got separated from Eunhyuk and Donghae in the sea of people. His cell phone also died so he couldn’t get in contact with them but since he’s already here, he might as well just enjoy the party. He grabbed a glass from the waiter’s tray and downed the drink in one go.
“Since when have you become a heavy alcoholic drinker?” Sungmin was simply sitting on a chair with a small round table and an ashtray. He wasn’t aware of the fact that two hours have passed by. During those two hours, he had lost count of how many glasses of wine or beer he had drank. He had also refused any person who came up to him for a dance. He glanced up to the person who spoke. The person was familiar but his mind refused to make him recognize this person.
The person sat on a chair across Sungmin. Like magic, a cigarette suddenly appeared on his hand. A waiter offered him some light. The tip of the cigarette started to glow. The person started to smoke elegantly. A thin trail of smoke would come out of his pursed lip. Sungmin tried to think of the names of people who he knew would smoke. None of the names in his head fit the face of the person in front of him. “Since when did you start smoking?” Sungmin retorted.
The deep toned chuckle came out from the person’s mouth. “You’re really still cute even after all these years.” The person’s hand lightly brushed again Sungmin’s cheek before pinching it playfully. Sungmin pouted and tried to bite the person’s hand. “Bad bunny.” The person laughed and smack the side of Sungmin’s head playfully before gripping Sungmin’s jaw and kissing him hard.
The taste of alcohol and smoke was not a pleasant combination but the intensity of the kiss made Sungmin kiss back feverishly. Sungmin accidentally flicked his tongue on one sharp tooth. He couldn’t remember clearly if it was his own tooth or from the other person but he could remember how the slight pain excited him and how the other person sucked the blood on his tongue hungrily.
“You know, Shindong has a lot of vacant room upstairs.” The person whispered against Sungmin’s ear, clearly suggesting something.
“I think Sungmin has to go home. He‘s quite drunk enough and I will not let any stranger take advantage of him.” It was Kibum standing right in front of them.
The person simply raised an eyebrow at Kibum. “That’s where you’re wrong. I’m not simply a stranger to Sungmin. Say my name, bunny.”
Kibum’s eyebrow twitched. How dare this guy call Sungmin bunny? He observed Sungmin’s facial expression. Sungmin currently had a confuse expression and his eyebrows are knitted together. Judging from the expression, Kibum could easily tell that Sungmin doesn’t know the name of this stranger.
“Kyuhyun.” A satisfied smirk grew on Kyuhyun’s face while Kibum became quite shock. If Sungmin knew this guy, then why didn’t Sungmin tell him about this guy? They’re close friends. They share secrets so why does Kibum doesn’t know anything about Kyuhyun? What’s the relationship between the two of them?
“Sungmin and I know each other enough to be not called strangers.” Kyuhyun stood up and blew smoke on Kibum’s face, which made Kibum cough. “Sungmin, do you want to go with this guy or with me?” Kyuhyun asked as he pushed his cigarette on the ash tray.
Sungmin looked back and forth on Kibum and Kyuhyun. He made his choice by reaching out and touching Kyuhyun’s arm. “Looks like I’ll be having Sungmin tonight then.” Kyuhyun gave out a rotten smile towards Kibum as he pulled Sungmin towards his body. He wrapped his arm around Sungmin’s shoulder as he guided Sungmin through the sea of people.
Kibum was about to go after them when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw that the hand belonged to Eunhyuk. “Sungmin will be fine with Kyuhyun.”
“How do you know?” Kibum shoved Eunhyuk’s hand away. “And why do you know about Kyuhyun when I, Sungmin’s close and best friend, don’t have any idea who Kyuhyun is?”
“You only became close friends with Sungmin in high school. Even if Sungmin and I aren’t close friends, we are childhood friends and we know quite a lot about each other even if we don’t want to. Kyuhyun used to attend to the same elementary school as us. He was also Sungmin’s 1st crush.” Eunhyuk explained to him.
“Eunhyuk, let’s dance!!!” Donghae suddenly appeared and interrupted the tense atmosphere. “Oh hi, Kibum!!! Heechul was looking for you. He seems quite angry that you suddenly disappeared. You’re in trouble!!! An angry Heechul is not easy to deal with.”
“Go and attend to your boyfriend, Kibum. Stop thinking about someone else.” Eunhyuk said before dragging Donghae to the dance floor.
“What did you mean by that, Hyukkie?” Donghae asked out of curiosity.
“Nothing that concerns you, Hae.” And just like that, Donghae lost interest and didn’t ask about it anymore. His thoughts became more preoccupied to the dance showdown between him and Eunhyuk on the dance floor.
Honestly, Eunhyuk didn’t know Kyuhyun all too well so he wasn’t really sure if the guy would really take care of Sungmin.
Sungmin seems to have gotten used to waking up in a different bedroom. He already got to experience waking up at Kibum’s and Eunhyuk’s. Now, he’s experiencing waking up at one of Shindong’s bedrooms but that doesn’t really mean he slept with Shindong, did he? He became tense as he saw the new marks on his body. It was completely a different set from Eunhyuk’s marks, which already became quite faded when compared to the new ones. That really meant he slept with someone.
He slowly turned his body to see the person who slept beside him. The person had his back in front of him. He could see how pale white the person’s skin was. He could also see scratch marks on the person’s back. He wasn’t the one who did those marks on the person’s back, was he? Well, the scratch marks looked fresh and Sungmin’s nails were quite long so…you can see the logic there. Sungmin’s hand reached out to trace the marks on the person’s back.
The person moved, turned and finally faced Sungmin. “G’morning.” He mumbled sleepily.
Sungmin simply continued to stare. The guy was really handsome. In a way, he felt really lucky to have slept with such a handsome guy despite forgetting what exactly happened last night. “Um… who are you?”
The person raised an eyebrow. Sleepiness was already gone from his eyes. “You remembered me last night when you were drunk but you couldn’t remember me now that you’re conscious?”
“Sorry. I really don’t remember anything from last night. And uh…I assume we’ve met before?”
“Think, bunny, think!” The person poked Sungmin’s forehead.
Sungmin pouted and tried to think who this person was. Bunny…well, he remembered how his crush used to call him bunny…”NO WAY!!! Kyuhyun, is that you?!?!?”
“Glad to know you finally recognize me.”
