Oh, I Love This! Duncan and Amanda, nice and cozy, then Methos shows up with not one beautiful woman but two! And one is a Companion and the other is a soldier/smuggler/thief/killer! (Not that Inara isn't dangerous all on her own. *g*)

Without wanting to give too much of my own plot away I'm just going to say 'bugger, now I can't read BSR until I've written the next part of my HL/FF in case I accidently pilfer an idea from jinxed' *headdesk*

No! No! Don't write slowly (sorry idontlikegravy)- I need the next chapter pronto. I can't wait to see how Methos decides to play out his request of Amanda now that Duncan is around.

Also - I wanted to thank you for staying true to Methos' underlying drives: survival, and self-preservation. He's *not* the boy scout despite his rare acts of goodness. I'm very happy to see you haven't fallen into writing his character as if the morally right choice would have highest priority. He might consider it, but other results/risks would weigh in first. Duncan on the other hand... so predictable. GRIN.

Also - nice job with Zoe and revealing her emotional state with Wash's death in a smooth, non-forced way. And then Methos' misunderstanding. Perfect!

Thank you! i'm glad the part revealing Zoe's emotional state came across well, I felt it needed to be addressed at this point :-) And yes, Methos is definitely in survivor mode at the moment ;-)
