Doctor Who...

I'm having such a wonderful time watching Doctor Who at the moment. I love EVERYTHING about it. I know that a few on my flist are disappointed with the way things panned out in the last episode, but I'm pretty much marvelling at the fact that - even though I've seen the big reveal - I still don't know what the HECK is going to happen next ( Read more... )

This is an excellent point. I admit I was disappointed by having predicted the big twist, but you're right that I have no clue what's going to happen next!

And I'm with you, I've loved this season, all the timey-wimey craziness.

One thing is for sure - we're going to see the first time River meets the Doctor! I can't wait!

He is so going to relish it. I hope he calls her "sweetie."

I have NO problem with Timey-Wimey stories - they're my favourites...

My disappointment stems from the fact that Moffat had to go and give Melody/River Time Lord DNA. Why can't she be awesome in her own right?!

And also, I find River's lack of reaction to meeting Rory and Amy (apparently for the first time?) too inhuman, TL DNA or no TL DNA.

I don't know, I think River had a very definite reaction to seeing Rory for the 'first' time in this episode. She seemed very affected, especially when she mentioned it was her birthday.

Yes, but this is the *only* time - and she's met him and Amy on several occasions now.

I just think it would've been more interesting if Moffat had let us on the secret before Amy, Rory and Eleven...

Yes, but that's the thing, those several occasions haven't happened for her yet. This is the first time she meets him as 'River Song' and they played on that very well.

I always feel sorry for River, because she can't gve anything away because of the 'spoilers'. The moments she lets her facade drop are very few and far between, like in the first episode of the series, when he tells her he doesn't trust her and when he looks away...

Timey Wimey stories are pretty much always my favourites, and I love River (there are only a handful of female characters on TV I actually actively like, I'm really picky about female characters, and the current season of Dr Who has 2 of them) so I was pretty much bouncing up and down in glee at this episode - even if I had figured it out midway through.

Yup, I kinda figured it out too, but I still enjoyed the ride!

it's so completely REFRESHING AND WONDERFUL to come across reactions like this. :::leaves you cookies:::

i'd hoped since ...Library and Forest... that River was a Time Lord of some sort, so for me this was just Christmas.

Dude. People cannot get past their River hate (or in reality some people still cannot get PAST ROSE) so this was 'horrible' blah blah. I have seen people call Moffat a horrible write because of it.

I am thrilled. And creeped out because I still love the pairing of Doctor/River hehe.

I just hate the damn hiatus!

It could have been worse - you could have been an Amy/River shipper :-P
