Veronica smirked. “I’ll bet that sounded a lot less pervy in your head.”

I love the dialog, all through the story (and I went back and read the earlier chapters, just because the dialog is so much fun.) I like the way Veronica challenges Joe, and he challenges her right back, no cotton candy.

One extremely minor quibble--if Veronica is from California (or elsewhere on the west coast in the Excited States) she'd probably use the term 'garage' for a car park.

Joe's going to have to work hard to keep up in the snark race when Veronica and Adam take each others' measure. That is, if he didn't get hisself all shot to pieces again already...very much looking forward to the next installment down the line!

Ack! It's always the little things that'll catch you out! For me, a public garage is a place where you go to fix a car (and lose next month's paycheck :-P)

I'm glad you like the dialogue. To my mind, it wouldn't be a Veronica Mars crossover without some zingers!

*squeals with glee!* You wrote it!

And there is something absolutely fantastic about Veronica's interpretation of Proctor feeling Methos' buzz--and then Methos stepping out of the elevator. Very cinematic. Or maybe I'm the only one who did it in slo-mo in her head.
