Remember the 'fun' we had when Amazon delisted all those books with gay content?
Well, you're just going to love this one.
(Yes, this is me laying on the sarcasm with a trowel!)

A)Read.
B) Fume.
C) Wonder how they're going to explain this one away as yet another 'accident'

This makes me so mad, both that people think like that and that a company thinks this is an acceptable business practice.
In a totally selfish point I get really annoyed with them because it means I can't buy from Amazon now (possibly not ever) but they are sooo convienent and they have all the books I want. *Goes to sulk*, I want them to be an ethical company.

I'm in the same boat!
And they've already backpedalled again, but the fact I have to add the word again to this sentence pretty much says it all.

Still, incredibly silly, especially after the last kerfuffle.

I think I may be a bit more cynical than you, because I may consider one 'glitch' an accident, but two - about the exact same content, and with such a short time period? Keep in mind, these are author profiles we're talking about, not chatroooms, and the use of the word gay as an insult would be extremely unlikely in that context.

Would it sound strange for me to say it feels like they are profiling profiles? Even IF it could be true it's blocked as a potential insult, that's going overboard. Someone around there gets paid to sit on their bum all day doing site security, I'll guarantee. So if someone's profile was one long hate speech, I'd get it if they say, blocked the whole content. But just singling out the word "gay"? Unh-uh. Maybe being targeted too often for bs has made me cynical, but I don't buy it as an accident, even if they say otherwise.
Thanks for sharing, btw. I was going to order a shiny new box set of HL again next week, but now I think I'll reserve my money for someone a bit less asshole-ic. Ahem. Ok, I'll stop. :/
