Haha, I would so join your book club! XD I think A Separate Peace is the gayest book in your list, although there is definitely gay in all of them.

...And somehow, I had never thought of that before, at least not when I read these in high school!

You know, I don't know what it is, but I always found gay in the books I read in high school. And the one time I brought up 'homoerotic overtones' in class, the teacher quickly changed the subject. So I just thought I was a freak, and quickly learned not to say anything.
Now I'm glad I wasn't the only freak, lol

Aw, what an uncool teacher. None of my high school teachers ever talked about gayness either, though, but lots of the classics have "homoerotic overtones" for sure!

I think I was too sheltered in high school to realize it. XD; The only gay that got through to me was the overt gayness in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and I loooooved it. Then I went to college and realized there was a lot more gay in the world. And it was good. ^.^ You are most definitely not the only freak. ♥
