Well, you understand that I have only this one experience to go on, in which I mistakenly treated it as normal butter. It was very very hard, and it melted everywhere in a way where there ought not to have been that much, so I guess it has a high fat content? Hokkaido dairy products have an excellent reputation, so that would be consistent with the little I know: the butteriest butter that ever was buttered would probably have more butter-ness in it like that.
