socks & aliens.
socks:
It was an utter mystery to Block B's eldest how all of his socks and simultaneously ripped in the toes, leaving excruciatingly uncomfortable holes where fabric should be. Taeil certainly believed there was no truer pain than holey socks. Sighing, the male padded bare-foot into the kitchen, frown on his face while he brewed himself a cup of coffee in hopes to warm him up the way socks should.
"Why so glum, hyung?" Taeil hadn't noticed Jiho slide into the kitchen--literally slide, thanks to his socks that Taeil enviously glared down to.
"All of my socks are ruined," he huffed, shoulders sinking. "They were fine yesterday, I don't know what could have happened."
Jiho shrugged. "Socks fall apart the more you wear them. When was the last time you bought socks anyway?"
Taeil pouted, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "I can't even remember."
Jiho clapped the older on the back. "Guess it's time to get some new ones, huh?"
After his third cup of coffee, Taeil sought refuge on the couch, remote in hand and Discovery channel flashing fish documentaries on the television. In an attempt to keep them warm, Taeil had his feet curled underneath him and a blanket draped around his body, but no matter how hard he tried, he simply couldn't shake the chill from his body. And it's all because I don't have sock!
"Hyung!"
Taeil turned his head to the door, watching the leader kick his shoes off and breathlessly run toward the older, shopping bag in hand. "What's up?"
Jiho panted, shoving the bag into Taeil's lap. "Picked you up something from the store."
Eyeing the blond suspiciously, Taeil reached a hand into the bag, a fuzzy fabric tickling his fingertips. "Woo Jiho, what in the world is-" Pulling the the mysterious fuzzy object from the bag, Taeil gasped, eyes wide. The younger had bought him a ten-pack of aquatic-themed fuzzy socks.
Jiho was positive that the older had never hugged him--or anyone--that tightly before.
aliens:
"Damn it Kyung, why is your phone always fucking dead?" Jiho hissed, trekking through the corn field. He should have known it was a bad idea to drink on a Tuesday night, especially in a god damn maze. But Kyung was always so persuasive, never leaving Jiho any room to deny. He had a test in his economics class the next day, a test Jiho was certain he'd be skipping thanks to a certain little shit. He was frustrated, tired, and far too drunk to be finding his way through the god forsaken field and planned on giving up within the next few minutes. That was, until he noticed a peculiar flickering light ahead of him. As he approached the light, a strange object came into view--reminiscent of a UFO like in the stupid sci-fi movies Kyung always watched. It couldn't be a UFO... Could it?
Upon closer inspection, Jiho decided it couldn't be anything but a UFO, mouth agape and eyes large with curiosity and an ounce of fear. "H-Hello?"
A head poked out from behind the scraps of metal. A pale face was framed with brown hair and big eyes were magnified by round glasses. The face looked human enough, albeit rather short Jiho noted as the other stood up.
"Friend or foe?" Jiho asked cautiously, standing his ground.
The other only blinked in response, pouting silently.
"You got a name?"
"Taeil," he responded softly. His voice was music to Jiho's ears.
"Are you an alien?"
Taeil tilted his head. "I suppose to you, yes."
Jiho stepped closer to the other to get a better look, only to see that Taeil was much smaller than he originally assumed.
"Can you help me repair my ship?" Taeil pleaded. Jiho felt himself falling for the other's eyes.
"S-Sure, anything," Jiho mumbled, words embarrassingly tumbling out of his mouth.
Taeil's face lit up, bright smiling warming his features. "Great!"
A week had passed since the pair met in the corn field; Jiho had offered to let the alien live with him until they fixed his ship. Kyung was opposed to the idea at first, but after one look at Taeil, Kyung practically melted into goo, begging the alien to live with them forever.
"Jiho," Taeil whispered from Jiho's side. He'd crawled into bed with Jiho only an hour ago, complaining about it being much too cold on this planet, but Jiho's heat made it bearable. "Can you move a little closer? I'm still cold."
Jiho's entire body flushed. "Y-Yeah," he stammered, turning to face the smaller and spreading his arms, allowing Taeil to shift closer, snuggling right into Jiho's chest.
"Thank you." Taeil's breath ghosted over Jiho's face, intensifying the blond's blush. Jiho would be lying if he said he wasn't head-over-heels smitten for the alien.
Only a week had passed, but Jiho already felt a strong attachment to his cute alien companion, secretly hoping his ship was broken beyond repair.
Yet unbeknownst to Jiho, Taeil wished the same.
