It's the next New Moon. ...Uh, I don't know when that is exactly... in a few weeks sometime.

And I'm planning on celebrating. Why miss an opportunity for food, booze, and fireworks~?

Ah, yes, the New Moon! Thank you! I need to remember that.

Well, if you or others intend to hold a compound-wide celebration, no matter how unlike the ones at the Emperor's palace usually are, I would love to attend! If it's just a private one, however, I'll stay out of it.

Sure thing pal~!

Uh, well I'm not gonna organize anything. ...The fireworks might be a bit public, regardless~!

...You usually celebrate at an Emperor's palace?

Well, if they are, I look forward to seeing them. ^^

Well, it's more of a fun traditional holiday than anything nowadays, but there's an old legend that says that there used to be this beast that would come around on the first of the year and eat all of the crops and livestock, but it was afraid of the color red and firecrackers, so people would hang red lanterns and decorations and set off firecrackers in order to scare it off.

((ooc: Assumptions of Xing = China and a wikipedia search of Chinese New Year. ^^))
