Gig Poster, need suggestions

Hey guys, I'm in need of a few suggestions. I'm doing a gig poster of any band or group for one of my classes. I'm having the hardest time choosing a band. I have very few bands that I listen to, and they aren't even that great. I'm supposed to match my style in with these posters, or what I feel would integrate well for a band poster

Hoho man, I love Tokio Hotel! (*0*)/ I'm not sure they're what you're looking for, or that their style is what you're going for... have a listen to "Monsoon" if you're unfamiliar with them and see what you think!

Also, if you have to draw, the main singer of the band is EXTREMELY easy to pen down, you'll see what I mean lol.

8D I love Bill's hair. XD But yeahhh all those songs rock. My favorites are Schrei, Ready Set Go and Monsoon <33 They're awwwesome 8D

Not even joking...Look up Anberlin. They have such a nice sound to so many of their songs. I think its just the style you're looking for, no lie. They have that rockin edge but this style that just speaks for itself. Its real clean cut and such and the lyrics are works of art in their own.

Putting the fact I'm a HUGE fan aside, I think you'll really like them too. Try looking up "Unwinding Cable Car" or "Inevitable" "Amsterdam" might really fit the bill too. There are just so many! My personal favorite is Paperthin Hymn...But yeah...Give em a listen. I think they'll really really work for you 8D <3333 Let me know how you like em.

Ohh sounds great, I'll look them up as well. I'm so behind music wise I have like the same songs on loop all the time on iTunes, it gets so annoying sometime xDD

You bet!! 8D And if you ever want just some reccomendations for bands I'm usually the one to hit up. I'm and indie lover so my music is so diverse and...ahem...large. XD; I have so much music my computer hates me.

Ever heard of Flobots? I think their music might fight for what you want, that vintage kinda look would be great for them. I'm especially fond of their song 'Handlebars'

Hmmm, I think vintage comic-like mad scientist would fit Modest Mouse quite well.

My taste in music ir horrendous too... so I apologize for not having good suggestions. I`ve been listening to a lot of folksy chick rock lately so it probably wouldn:t fit your concept.

Lol, there is always Queen, a safe choice with TONS of possibilities.

I second Queen. For the sake of the assignment anyway. Most people seem to be giving you music suggestions when that's not entirely the point.

that I'd be curious to see you incorporate into the poster cleverly. Also, I'm sure you know they've had some distinct, crazy outfits (especially Freddie, that would work well with the look you're going for).
