Last night worked out quite well. I went to the Masquerade early to meet Randy and the folks in The Nerd Parade to pick up a ticket from them. What a weird scene. I mean, the Masquerade has always been dark and weird, but now, as a not-19-year-old-kid... BOY did I feel out of place. And looked out of place too in my brion/tweedy wanna-be sportscoat

Actually thinking back through all of the bands, rehearsals, recording sessions and shows is making me very tired and I feel very old suddenly. :)

funny story about last night. Skip Lapekas was there and I used to work with him at Guitar Center. Turns out he had a mobile ProTools rig (002 rack and laptop) with him and was recording the band who played right before us from the sound board. I was "man I wish I had known." well he recorded us too!!
We can either A. Pay him for a 2 track mix down at a fair rate or B. get the ProTools session from him. Neither randy or i use protools tho, so we'll see. Randy wants the "stems" so he can throw it in Audition and doctor it himself, but i'm not sure how easy that is. We'll see.

Who was drumming for Monkey Boy after you and I left? Was that Jim?
The past has become a blur and the future is smacking against my windshield like love-bugs on a Florida highway.

The Shakes was the band that Jim was playing in with Shawn (which I found the mix master for!)... but that too was a side project. Jim started out in Monkey Boy, but I can't make sense of that in the timeline. I'd think it would had to have been before you and I were playing with them, because after that it was some other friend of Ken's (I forget his name). But, since I was the Monkey Boy drummer and only remember getting fired once... I am very confused. Unless Jim came in way at the end of all that mess. But I remember playing with him for a few months in *something*.
I feel the grasp of senility on my forehead.
