Wow. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I haven't traveled (very far) in too long, I realize. Glad your new job helped make it possible.

It really was a great trip! Totally not the kind of thing I ever thought I'd do. I saw so many really neat things. My original plan was to go for a week, but my friend said that would not be enough, so I stretched it out to 10 days. I probably needed at least a month to properly see everything, but we crammed as much into those 10 days as we could.

At one point during the concert I found myself just standing there, listening to the crowd, looking up at the Tel Aviv sky and thinking, "This is probably the coolest thing you'll ever do."

I was worried that it would be way too much to do alone, and I'd get stranded in an airport or board the wrong plane and end up who-knows-where, but the actual traveling went off without a hitch! As soon as I got back I was like, "Now I want to go everywhere!" (Or at least all of the places I already wanted to go.) Of course now that I know it's not that hard to do, I just have to figure out a way to become independently wealthy so that I can have both the time and the money to make that happen.

ASDQKJKJKADSFWERF!!!1!!!! You got to go to Europe and the Middle East? (OK, you just flew over Europe...but that's more of Europe than I've been to.) Sounds like an awesome trip. As someone who has no spare cash and hasn't been on a vacation in 3 years, I am totally jealous and may have to start hating you.

It was kind of a long-term spur of the moment thing. I made an off-hand comment to my friend back in October like, "Hey. How about I come over there next year for a visit and we go to the concert?" Originally she tried to use logic to convince me that it would cost too much and that there would be closer shows, and all of the other things I would normally think myself. I mentioned it on and odd a few times, and the more we discussed it the more it became a thing that could actually happen. Believe me, hitting the "Purchase" button on that four-digit plane ticket was the hardest part. And then my next paycheck (for two-weeks, mind you) had 28 hours on it. So no need to hate, I have returned to my regularly scheduled (and never-ending Poor Person status. :) ... no wait, :(. LOL.
