This is a story from last week, but I didn't have time to tell it when it happened...so please project yourself back to last Thursday and pretend I'm telling you the story then ( Read more... )

Y'all should've called Ron! He's now an expert at raining offices. *nods*

*loves you* You tell stories in such a fun way. :)

Also, I cheated and just read without transporting myself back to last Thursday. It was the hottest day in Tennessee in the past 9 years. ;)

This is SO TRUE! Maybe if it rains again you can call him!

*loves you back*

Ha! If only we had a Ron here at work! I suppose I should just be grateful that we have a Remus Lupin (even though that reminds me that I haven't seen him in a LONG time...I wonder if he's still around).

And yes, it's been horrifyingly hot here, too. I'm wistful for fall! (See icon.)

Heh.

Last Friday, I was sitting at the computer, surfing the net. Our computer is in the kitchen. All of the sudden, sparks shoot out of my dishwasher (kind of like a sparkler) and then a poof of black smoke, then...nothing. The dishwasher kept right on going.

I opened the door ASAP to see what was on fire. Nothing. It was in the middle of the rinse cycle. I called my dad, who is an electrician, and he told me to feel around for any hot spots. There weren't any. So he said if it was still running fine, then it was probably all right, but I shouldn't leave the house while a load of dishes are running.

That was my excitement for the week! :)

EEK! Yeah, I think I'd take rain over a sparking & smoking dishwasher any day. Things like that make me so nervous!

As I was reading and you said you heard a noise, all I could think is, "OMG it's the TARDIS!" asdlkfj;aslkdfj Clearly I have issues.

I agree with jules - call Ron! :D

I suppose it's a good thing it wasn't the TARDIS, because then I would have gone off with the Doctor and my family would be missing me by now. Plus I'd have to convince the Doctor to come pick up my LJ friends (it's only polite to share) and we'd probably all wind up in a near-death battle somewhere and that can be so stressful. :)
