I was surprised how much I liked Eska and Deska but I miss Asami! She and Bolin had that great moment and then poof! Gone! I hope that's not what happens with the rest of the season!
They complement each other. He's silly, and she's serious. They seem to agree on a few points, too. Also, she and Mako, and him and Korra - though she had better luck than he, since Asami actually did have Mako as her boyfriend for a while. Bolin was not so fortunate.
I do have to admit, the twins are kind of amusing, but he Vulca leanings...I can't see Bolin staying interested for too long. He's more of a touchy-feely guy.
If they don't have Koh the Face Stealer somewhere in there, I'll be disappointed. :P
Good to know that I'm not the only one eyeing Unalaq with some suspicion. But you know there This may be something akin to it. For all we know, Unalaqmay has had an encounter with Koh, and this is an elaborate game, with Korra's face his ultimate goal. There's always some sort of a red herring, after a fashion. It's tradition. In season one (and by the way, the fifteen month wait isn't new. It happened with the original series, too), Zuko was the obvious bad guy, and Iroh, and we know how that all turned out. So there's plenty of reasons to keep watching. ;)
Yeah... definitely some scars and damage there, and it was painful to watch. I do appreciate the show taking on messed-up relationships, but I also hope they're in a better place by the end. I trust and suspect they will be, but you never know.
I was disappointed by the lack of Beifong myself, but seeing as her job is to protect Republic City and it appears (at least for now) that the majority of this season will take place in the South Pole, we probably won't see her much, if at all. :(
