I'd vote for you...

except that since I'm not an Active member, I still have little, if any, say, over what happens in SFWA.

But being a professional book reviewer helps pay the bills. And editing makes me happy. And while I've had 15 sales in 4 years, I haven't had a -qualifying- sale since 2006. :(

There are days, y'know? Sell 1 book or 3 stories to the right markets from a rather small and highly competitive list, and you're set for life. Be active in the field in multiple ways for well over a decade, and you can still be a second-class citizen until the day you die.

Not qualified to be a member, alas, and also not in the right district--so I can't vote for you. I will, however, be over here in the corner waving my pom poms and turning virtual cartwheels. (You DO NOT want to see me attempt the real ones.)

Way to walk your talk, Jim. Kudos.

Jim, if there is a duel, I'd bet that anything involving rubber chickens and key lime pie would end up getting flagged on YouTube.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Best of luck from someone who can't vote in the election!

Does this mean you'll be reborn as Jim C. Hines the White? ;)
