You're right. Codex Alera. Hm ... that's the series title, and he hasn't used it in the title of any individual books. I think it will be okay, but we'll see what Sheila says.

I really want to use these, because as I was wordstorming, I came across the fact that "Codex" is derived from the Latin for the trunk of a tree. And book two focuses more on Lena the dryad. It just feels *right*.

I love your princesses for being real people with real differences.
Codex makes me instantly think of Jim Butcher. You may want to consider the possible confusions.
I think this lego Helms Deep is AMAZING, and hope that the Smithsonian considers it.

I thought about the Butcher (and several people immediately made Kotex jokes), but while it's not perfect, this is what *felt* right for the book, at least more than anything else I've come up with.

I hope that long-winded sentence made sense!

I really like the interview, thanks! Without knowing what the second book is about, it's hard to judge titles, but I think Codex Unbound sounds awesome.
