iPhone Photo Note

So apparently the iPhone does not have the ability to properly display .jpg files saved in CMYK color mode. (As opposed to the more standard RGB color mode.)

This would not normally present much of a problem, unless one is away at a conference for work all day, without access to a real computer, and that happens to be the exact same day one’s ( Read more... )

Yes, I've had that happen when I'm in a hurry sending stuff out - it's not just an iPhone thing, it really depends on the software on the computer at the other end whether it can render the image or not. As far as I'm concerned, you'd be perfectly fine to come back with, "Please send me an RGB version" since that's what I should have sent in the first place.

It wasn't until I got home that I realized the problem was the CMYK format, though. Had I figured that out sooner, it would have saved us some back-and-forth and a very confused phone call :-)
