Sigh, I had my copy of Just A Geek at Penguicon 7.0 but Wil was a no-show at the panel I set up just to me him. (grin) Just because he was sick and under doctor's orders not to fly.
I actually tweaked my schedule earlier this year at Penguicon so that I could duck out early from the writing workshop and make it to a panel with Wheaton.
I think every writer goes through this stage, where we’re getting “Almost, but not quite” rejections and going bugnut insane trying to figure out why we can’t make the cut when we’re so freaking close.
This is where I'm at. I am grateful to small press, and Viable Paradise, but yes, so close to an agent and open doors, but just not quite there.
The gnawing fear is that this is your crest. Logically, you know better, but what if?

I haven't gotten a chance to read his newest yet, but I really really look forward to it.

Wil is definitely a great writer.

Maybe we'll get him out here in 2010?

I can't decide if it should be called the curse of the penguin or the curse of the Wheaton.
