Well, while watching America's Got Talent last night (liked the 10-year-old girl singer... she had poise way beyond her years... also liked Special Head... but fear he might be a one-trick pony) I noticed an aura, then it got brighter and nastier.. and voila, the dreaded migraine. I hate it when the music blares over the dialogue.
In Survivor sometimes the noise from the ocean does it! Especially when some of the people have strong accents and it's hard to make them out. I could never understand Corinne because she talked very fast.

You are so right. And sometimes just missing that one word or sentence leaves me hanging on Survivor and other shows. Yeah... background noise is bad enough... adding mood music that is too loud (especially in this case with a person who has a super soft speaking voice) is even worse.
