I haven't posted for a while, and I'm missing it!  To quote freewaydiva "Damn you pinterest!"  And I have to learn to moderate FB somehow.  But I might miss something!

I did a little work on 16th century German verjus making instructions and wanted to get them posted.

I've found the best ways to get people off of facebook is to a)point out that you don't need it. If those people really did like you, they'd email you. and B) Scare the living daylights out of people regarding Facebook's "security" . Like this from a little over a month ago: FB security bug exposes millions of users

Security flaws like that happen every day on FB. Plus, now it is public knowledge that pretty much every single gov't is exploiting those flaws to read everything you post.

So, does that help? :-)

But Pinterest does have some advantages. I've been using it to visually store stuff - for example http://pinterest.com/eleanordeyeson/period-german-cookbook-manuscripts/

I tend to link to only 1 page of a manuscript, and expect the viewer to click through and discover more for themselves.

I would be curious to know if you have already seen all the cookbooks I have linked?

No, I haven't seen all of these manuscripts! I've been trying to focus just on the 16th century and am only now been able to possibly work on reading the script. I've got the books down pretty well. I think I want to read them all. And I'm supposed to be getting ready for a clothing class. LOL - Damn you pinterest!

Are you interested in more links for 16th century cookbooks?

Thank you for these recipe translations. Most of the modern recipes didn't seem right, as the verjus made by them wouldn't keep long. I haven't made any yet, just doing research now. I appreciate the work you've done.
