I know when I first started feeling sick Wednesday night I was upset because it's part respiratory, part gi. And I've discovered that my inhaler is expired. I can't afford the trip to the doc for a script, let alone the meds.
I know the air outside isn't helping me, but I think there's a virus going around (yet again). And I need to get a flu shot, but I need to be a bit more stable before I can do that. Of course in the meantime, I have to worry about getting the flu, then. @_@ It never ends!
I hate the world of medical expenses, I tell you what - the chest X-ray I got a month or so ago ended up costing something like $300-ish, and the insurance covered all but like $95 (which I had to pay for). The S-ray took like all of 10 seconds, and I never did hear back about how it looked!

Yes yes, you keep that one! I'm okay with sharing! ^_^
I really do not like Winter - when I was a kid, it was great, it seemed like we had more snow days back then, but now, it's just a hassle all around! D'oh!
I bet Karen doesn't like the cold...at least for me, it causes even worse joint pain. Cold is not a friend of Fibromyalgia sufferers.
I don't actually mind winter. I like being inside by the fire when it blowy and windy outside. Plus, I only have to drive four miles to my job.
Karen, on the other hand, doesn't like it because of your reason and she is just cold blooded. Our king size bed has one king size sheet, one king size comforter and, on her side only, an electric blanket, three comforters and a non working electric blanket
I don't feel it's right having to pay $800+ per year for ONE prescription, since I do take others as well. I do want to LIVE, however! So yeah, that really made my weekI would happily trade: I just got done putting in an order through Premera's medicine by mail thing where instead of the cringe-inducing $142/month, it's now $240 for three months. I could dance the happy dance, I really could.
What really frosts me is the adverts on the radio for "buy generic!" programs, where some asshat says "I don't like paying for drug commercials!" I tried the generic equivalent for a day, and spent most of that day in the can instead of at my desk. So I'm kinda stuck there too.
Man, and Kent is SO far away! LOL. (Well, Kent in England, perhaps.) Kent doesn't flood well, that's for sure.
I hate those stupid generics; I know they work when they do, and cost less, but for some of us, the "regular" med works fine, and why switch to something else if it works? I realize it would be so much easier to get the stuff from, say, Canada, where they sell the same stuff OTC for LESS, but geez, how hard would it be to do that here? Oh, right, the pharmaceutical industry makes off just as well, if not better, than those oil bandits. And for what???
