Whoa, am I done already?

I think I'm caught up on reading LJ entries from clear back to Thursday evening. (Keep in mind I was doing this on-and-off all morning, up until now.) Granted I didn't comment on everything I saw, but I did read/scan and posted where I felt my two cents would be useful. *WAVES TO ALL ( Read more... )

I wish I could have even done a fraction of that 14.5 miles. I'm lucky if I can walk 2 miles in a day.

My legs are always going to be somewhat weak until I can get my knee fixed.

My arms though, which are weak also, are getting stronger. That's mainly due to the work I'm doing now. Lifting lots of boxes of metal parts. Ick.

*hugs*

You know what though? You can! Even if you just start slow, and say, walk even half a mile every other day or so, and gradually build up, it can be done. You don't have to race, just pace yourself, and eventually you may find you can walk 3 miles in an hour (which is about how they pace the 3-Day). Lots of "BBW" and "curvy" ladies were out there last weekend and keeping up just as well as anyone else. :@ )

And remember, this is coming from an asthmatic who once struggled with breathing while running even half a mile way back when. It takes time to get there, but if you keep it up, it's worth it!
