Just a short entry to let everyone know that I live! But, I have a LOT of catching up to do. Not been online since...err, well Thursday night basically. @_

I'm glad you finally got settled wnough that we get to hear from you! And I am glad your story has a good ending. I'm still proud of you for walking, and even though I've never met your mother (only talked to her on the phone), I'm proud of her for walking with you what she did. And I'm glad that everyone is safe and sound now.
I'm very glad my Mom got to walk with me. Not to say it wouldn't have been meaningful with Beth there, but at least with my Mom, we had the chance to share the experience; one that started months ago as we cared for Grandma.
I wish things hadn't gone the way they did on Day 1, but just the same, we're all okay now, and we still did our part, and in that, I know there's something to be proud of. And that's enough for me to feel a sense of accomplishment, even though I'm hoping for a better outcome next year.
Of course..."next year" isn't that far off, either!
No kidding...here's to a much more settled few months or so! Even in the craziness, we all deserve a little rest every so often. Not to where we're in the Hospital, but you know, to where we can manage the chaos and still keep up with the pack. :@ )
Thanks! Me too, believe me! I think I'll have to sideline my Mom from walking, but there are so many opportunities to volunteer, and she's always been good at that stuff. :@ )
Let's just hope no last-minute hitches get in the way come next year, though! I'm going to try and get a few others to at least join the group so even if one has to bow out, I'll still have a "team".
