We went to Scarborough and it topped the Ren. Fair. It was prettier and not so commercial.

I hope I didn't ware out the people that went with us, but I like to see everything and I haven't been in so long.

And Scarby is .. just the right size and on a beautiful site.

NEXT YEAR the Sherwood Forest Faire opens in spring... its site is MUCH better geography- an actual forest of massive trees with sandy soil for great drainage...and for those of us in Austin the LOCATION is going to be a big plus too. I've gotten to know the management a bit and I'm entirely certain they are faire folk who love faire.. and the guy in charge is not only a Rennie, but a competant one with the resources to make it go ...

So NEXT faire season.. I think youre in for another treat :)

My adventuring party said exactly the same thing! TFR has become filled with cheap ass merchandise and is generally less pleasant. Scarborough is my new favorite faire.
