Beautifully written. I loved it. I think my favorite part was Sherlock trying to goad Holmes into using the crop so he could avoid his emotions, and Holmes realizing what was happening just in time. I thought it was wonderful that the spanking did eventually get through to Sherlock, and the snuggle after it was over was perfect. I also really liked the sincere apology from Sherlock once Holmes woke up. The kiss, and the awkward lack of discussion followed by more sincere kissing seemed quite fitting for them.

I'm running out of things to say! Thank you for taking the time to read all my scratchings, it's very generous. It makes me feel slightly guilty as I find it so difficult to write anything, including comments and consequently I don't do it as often as I should.

I really enjoyed this, in many ways Holmes is such a child but he has a deep well of feeling. I can imagine him trying to avoid delving to deeply into his emotions and his manipulation of Watson is just standard procedure. After 7 years maybe I should try to make time to write again.
