Rodney snored when Jill started touching his chest, and twitched at the nudge of her toes. When she laughed, he grunted and rolled over the other way. He liked his mattress and he liked sleeping, which made it hard for him to wake up when there was a combination of both.

"G'bk'slup," he managed. "Early."

"It is early," Jill agreed absently, turning the box over in her hands to examine the artwork on the back, too distracted by the toy to really notice that Rodney was ignoring her to go back to sleep.

"I was trying to wake you up for sex," she added conversationally as her gaze was drawn toward what looked like a gift for Rodney. "But I found something else."

"Good," Rodney muttered into his pillow. He wasn't really a morning sex kind of person. Or a morning person in general, really. Unless he woke up at, say, ten o'clock, then he could manage the raging boner that inevitably ensued, especially if Jill was still in bed with him. Unfortunately, she was usually an early riser. Unlike him.

"Nnngh."

"I found something else for you, too," Jill added, peering over the side of the bed curiously, still holding the box excitedly in both her hands. She knew it would probably kill him to have to wake up this early, but she couldn't help herself. Rolling toward him again and succeeding in kissing his shoulder this time, she mumbled against his skin, "There's a present for you."
