Well, as kind as the sentiments are (there are vgifts? really?), Australia as a whole is actually capable of taking care of ourselves, this is true (and are, actually). I suppose we just get more publicity, it's not really something you expect to happen to a relatively prosperous place (unless you're Australian, maybe, and pay careful attention to our poems and history) *shrug* We like the attention, tis true. I think poor Brazil's problem is basically that it happened after us. And I am seeing efforts towards them now too, just slower. (Really, Australia's biggest cost is not going to be the lives lost, although those hurt when we are such a comparatively small population, but the fact that the majority of the floods hit crop areas and we've only JUST got out of drought...yay for overseas inports?)
....I've totally gone off topic now haven't I. In any case. Tis true Brazil needs it more.
