Not that I really thought about this in detail as a kid, but wouldn't they know it's Earth just from their beast forms? I mean, it's more likely that Earth had two moons and something happened to the second one than life evolving in exactly the same way on another planet.

Actually, what I originally thought when I saw this show as a kid was that the planet was some sort of artifically-created alien Ark, and that the Vok had taken the animals for Earth and put them there. Honestly with all the crazy energon, strange alien devices, floating mountains, and two moons I think it was dissimilar enough from modern-day Earth for there to be at least some doubt.

It really makes me wonder about just what a blueprint for Decepticon/Predacon code of behavior looks like. I mean, it's easy to say Bushido because that's what everyone says Dinobot follows and that's probably true but I have a feeling there's more to it than that. It's gotta be more... brutal.

The basic idea might be from ancient Janpanese culture but I agree that there's more ( ... )

I know this was posted two months ago, but shush. >.> I just stumbled upon it today, and wanted to throw in a couple of my own observations.

The next thing a groggy Dinobot knows he’s in the CR chamber - apparently he’s also on the claustrophobic side. I love Rattrap snerking about ‘Maximal torture chambers’, despite being a Maximal he doesn’t pretend to be kind and benevolent. He’s a cynical, scrappy, self-serving little bastard - and proud of it.

Interesting fact: Some fans consider the character Ransack to be a young Rattrap. I haven't seen this particular Transformers series yet, but just from reading the page, I sort of like the idea. And one of Ransack's toys was redone for a Botcon Rattrap toy. Lazy designers, or a hint to everyone's favorite malodorous vermin's past?

And let’s face it; Rattrap likely only wants to take charge because Dinobot also wants to.That, and he probably figures Dinobot will just drag them straight to the Darksyde and get them all killed. And he rather likes all his parts attached and in one ( ... )
