I love your episode discussions, however one thing stood out for me: Why is it that everyone disses on Scorponok? I honestly don't know why, I mean, the writers couldn't chose whether he was the hidden genius or the idiot, but other then that... *Just wants to see the other aide of the issue*

I guess it's mostly because he has all the personality of a shoebox. He's bumbling but he isn't likeable enough for people to feel sorry for him like they do Waspinator.

You know, this reminds me of something. I recently had a conversation with one of my fic reviewers about Nightscream and how neither of us understands why the character is so universally hated. She pointed out that Cheetor screwed up a LOT more in the beginning of the Beast Wars than Nightscream ever did in the Technorganic War. I sort of shrugged it off, not really remembering Cheetor as a kid that well. Now? I remember! And I think she's right. How he managed to survive the Beast Wars at all is somewhat of a miracle ^^;;

I do think Nightscream got an unfair amount of flak, maybe because he was more angry and disaffected than Cheetor ever was. At this point in the show Cheetor makes me want to feed him to Tarantulas or something else painful and permanent. It isn't just an inferiority complete - his actions are just so bloody stupid and thoughtless.

I think it's Darksyde. That was the name of the Predacon ship according to the Timeline comic. ^^Oh I know, but in that instance it was a case of fanon becoming canon. Read the TF Wiki ( ... )

I don't know, I find the Wiki mildly entertaining. Plus it's useful for finding out things like Cybertronian time units. Each to her own I guess. :)

And finally there's an honest use for Pedo!Spider! XD

*showed up from the beast_wars comm* Looking back on this show, I'm always surprised at how much went over my head. Your episode discussions are interesting!

You know, most of the time I really like Cheetor, since I was that sort of I-want-to-do-it-on-my-own kids myself, but this is one of those episodes where even I'm frustrated with him. The kid needs to have it beaten into his head the best way to make up for stupid mistakes is NOT to do something even MORE dangerous. Dx Not nearly as "brilliant" a move as "The Web," though.

Thanks for reading and commenting, I'm trying to make them interesting and/or amusing so I'm glad I suceeded. ^_^

Granted Cheetor probably wouldn't have done anything if Dinobot hadn't egged him on, but eh, I spent most of the episode wishing the raptor had strangled him like he was going to at the beginning. ;)

Terrorsaur is TOTALLY supposed to be the series Starscream, because what would a TF series without one be? I happen to think he's more awesome than Starscream, but that might just be because I enjoy pteranodons.

I also think, like you said, he is pretty stupid. Personally, I think Waspinator is smarter than he is. Terrorsaur just has a HYUUUUGE ego.

On the whole I prefer Starscream even though I'm not really a G1 fan, mostly because of the whole disfunctional genius thing. He's an interesting character to examine a read/write about. Terrorsaur, on the other hand, is just a pretty-looking, over-ambitious twit. ;)

Oh Waspy totally has more sense than most of the Predacons put together - he just also happens to also have reeeeally bad luck. ;)

I alway figured that the speech was caused by brain/processor damage from all the times he got trashed. Also in my head canon he has an immortal spark like Starscream and Rampage (how else would you explain him surviving everything?) which goes towards the theory that immortality makes everyone who has it a bit loony. :D
