Was Mario RPG an SNES game? Because that game kicked ass.

SUPER MARIO RPG is not just the best SNES game but the GREATEST FUCKING GAME EVER. It's got frogs and mustache jokes and pantsless dolls with REALLY SEXY ATTACKS and Peach on your team wielding umbrellas and frying pans and Bowser on your team and one of his weapons is FLINGING MARIO AT MONSTERS I SWEAR TO GOD and mine car races and Power Ranger jokes and cameos by Link and Samus Aran and evil clowns and DID I MENTION YOU BATTLE A GIANT WEDDING CAKE BECAUSE YOU TOTALLY DO. ALSO AN ALARM CLOCK. And the music is great. And the graphics are eye-searingly fabulous. And the story is awesome and the ending is the best ending ever because it includes a parade. The only thing that would make this game better is Luigi. Or Batman. But other than that, I can't see how it could be any better.

D-duly noted!

...I feel as if I don't play this game, you may, in fact, hurt me.

Um, I guess I can't really beat Super Mario RPG... runner up might be "Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen" for being an interesting in-depth tactical RPG battle game. They crammed a LOT of stuff into it and it's interesting how they put an alignment system into it so that your actions can affect how good or evil your ending is. :) Replay value in a way.

Final Fantasy VI. Why look, over there: it's the definition of the genre!

But you're asking me. Non RPGs: Super Metroid, Link to the Past.

When I actually had access to a SNES, all I played were platformer arcade-style games like Mario and Donkey Kong. come to think of it, that's still practically all I play. REGARDLESS, I always enjoyed the Super Mario All-Stars 5-pack that had Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3, Super Mario World, and the Lost Levels stuff.

Also, Mario Kart. Also, there was a kind of win Disney's Aladdin game.

Except for that damn lava level, heck yeah that was win.

@ jill_calico, if you're looking for second-greatest games, I also recommend Super Mario World, a game made back when there were Koopa Kids and Yoshi was cool, and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, which will give you diabetes but is still pretty fun.

YEAH I think I played that Aladdin game on the Genesis. My dad had to beat it for me, though. -_-;;
