So after a month of asking me when Ratatouille starts, and a month of me telling him "June 29th, dad," my dad has completely flaked on me and is going up north this weekend.

If he thinks I'm waiting for him, he is out of his mind. If I can scrape together four dollars, I will see it first showing friday morning

I freaked out when I clicked on the "I want this more than anything" link because for some weird reason, it gave me a map of Visalia ("I can see my house from here") and I was like, OMG WTF she wants me?.

but then, I clicked on it again and it gave me that very cool map of Detroit-to Denver-to Los Angeles, and I have to agree that would be awesome, assuming you had places to crash along the way. I know, I did the cross country drive thing with my parents when we moved to Ohio (long before I met you, natch).

if this were 1968 you'd be able to get away with it; my mom didn't have a job when she first moved out to California and she turned out okay.

YOU KNOW my best fried lives in Mission Viejo, which I am told is virtually down the street from you. If I ever DO go to Cali, it would undoutably be to see her, SO LOOK OUT.
