[For David]
Although she'd seen Mayko since leaving Radek's hut, Jill hadn't actively sought out either Bob or David, if only because she knew that she would have to explain to them what had happened. Things with David were complicated enough without having to tell him why she was sleeping in the Compound instead of with Radek, but she also knew she'd only be able to avoid him for so long. David Sandstrom had a way of showing up in her life when it was least convenient and the worst part was that it didn't bother her all that much.
After her shower, she'd dressed in shorts and a tank top, then tied her wet hair back and wandered outside, not going anywhere in particular and yet finding herself heading in the direction of the place that David and Bob shared. Despite what Radek thought, she hadn't left him to run off and be with David. Things between them had never been that simple and she didn't expect that to change just because they were on an island.
And yet somehow she still ended up near his place, her hands shoved in her pockets as she paused on the path, wondering if she should keep going or turn around and go back.
