i love possums! this is very similar to the resident possums at my boyfriends old place in ipswich. there were 2 of them, a big one and a smaller one. they eventually became part of our crew. the small one had a bit too much attiutude though. i miss the possums so much. i want to come and play with your possums. :)
Good idea not to hand feed them. My mum was feeding one some bananna on our balcony out at nerang one night, when it mistook her thumb for a pink bannana... several stitches, a course of antibiotics and a tetanus shot later, mum was more reluctant to feed them by hand :)
Not only that, but then they're dependant on people for their food. We won't live here forever, so we'd be relying on the next guys here to keep 'em alive. Not cool. Who knows, maybe they'd be the sort of people who like to turn fluffy wildlife into hats.
