Rory is amazing. He's the ordinary bloke/Auton who waited so long for someone he loved. If that's not dedication I seriously don't know what is anymore. The only bit that bothers me is that Amy is either siding on the polyamorous side (towards the Doctor, no less. I'm thinking an Elektra complex or maybe some transference here? He was the "ragged doctor" for a significant portion of her important early years) or just wants to shag the Doctor senseless (it's obvious pretty much from the first Episode to the very last, at her own wedding no less!). Whatever happened to Rory?
I think Rory/Doctor could completely be my other Doctor Who pairing. ...Just sayin'.

Hmm, that reminds me of a Torchwood rant I meant to rant about... *shakes head* Anyway.
Yeah, the Doctor did do something big to Amy's psyche when he first met her and then came back years later (when was the Doctor ever good at pinpointing the correct time?). Then Amy was tossed around, unbelieved, to different therapists and psychiatrists (did they say which one or did they forget that there's a big difference?), so when she finally sees her childhood hero alive and real.... Come to think of it, if I saw a childhood hero in the flesh I'd probably want to jump them too. Still....no, Amy, just no. Down, Amy, down!
I haven't read anything overtly Rory/Doctor (yet) and I doubt I could write it. Sigh. I think I need to make a plotbunny list that came from you, and just you *points finger*, so that I can keep track of all of 'em.

The Doctor definitely put his mark on Amy's life - but you'd think that someone like Rory would too. ESPECIALLY after waiting so long for her - protecting her! So I really wanted to smack her when she was pouncing on the Doctor on her damn wedding day... *sigh*
