Have you pressed the button yet???

And to answer your question, OF COURSE I've bought things because someone I totally rocked out for was in it. (Am I the only person who buys magazines at the check out???) When I fall in lus...I mean...admire someone's work, I jump all over it. It was Star Wars in the 70's, Duran Duran in th 80's, ST: TNG in the 90's...and then a loooooong stretch until DW. Let's see. I've bought just about every DVD that DT has been in (including some that SUCK totally), books, magazines, DVD's, CD's. Now I'm working on CE's stuff, as we've discussed at great length! Oh, I did buy an autographed picture of CE, I think that's probably the only non-media DW thing I've bought. When I was a kid, I saved up and bought the Star Wars toys and things, but I don't really do toys anymore. (Paige has the action figures, but she won't let me play with them!)

Is that obsession? Well, I haven't moved to Europe yet to stalk anyone so I THINK I'm still on the correct side of the line. Maybe.

I've never *bought* something purely because it has someone I adore in it. But I have watched things purely because of casting (e.g. Secret Smile & Single Father due to David Tennant, North & South due to Richard Armitage). I'll have to get back to you about the fandom stuff. I don't really *have* that much stuff related to my fandoms other than DVDs, but I'll see what I can scrounge lol.

Yeah I'll watch based on casting. I've bought things I haven't seen before...but it's always related to Doctor Who in some way.

Oh, I hope there's photos :D Yes, I am rather weird today :D

Have you ever bought something purely on the first intention that it simply had someone you adore in it?

YES lol. I was going to add this under "you know you're a Doctor Who addict when ...." I have bought cable channels/DVDs/etc just to watch TV shows that have Who stars in them.

lol I think most of us have been guilty of this. I'd own everything with CE, DT or BP in it if I could.

I have never ever ever bought anything to do with shows I liked before until I found Doctor Who. This fandom rules me and my impulse control like those damn t-shirts.

My camera is playing up a the moment but last year a fellow lj friend held an auction to raise money for her husbands cancer treatments and I purchased to pieces of artwork. You can see part of one in my icon. That is a ten/master picture and the other one I bought was one of Jack Harkness/John Barrowman. They are superb and I adore them more than anything else Doctor Whoish that I have purchased before or since. Well my Did I mention it also travels in Time shirt is close.

Edit: I just have to add that it took me about five minutes before I could type this post because I couldn't look away from those gorgeous blue eyes in the photo above of CE

Me too! Well, I bought Buffy related items, but nothing has had me as crazed as DW. Oh and those shirts! I can't resist them and that is dangerous!

From what I can see, that drawing is spectacular! Are they large or your average sketchpad size? (sorry if that's weird...I used to draw and I'm always curious). It looks like it has a lot of detail.

And isn't CE simply gorgeous with those eyes of his up there? When I found it I just stared at it for who knows how long. lol

No, can't recall anything.

How many items related to your fandom do you own?

Ok, for this one, you'd need to give me fandom, type, and how much do you want to know? :)

I got really into Stargate SG:1 (even if the series as a whole was completely campy) a couple years back. And I mean into it. I had started to assemble a mock-up of the costumes they wore, using a forum dedicated to finding out exactly what they used (down to the brand), and I spent a lot of money on it. Autographs, autographed scripts, and even auctioned off set costumes were bought by yours truly as well. I still have most of the stuff, although a few I sold on ebay for money, but...yeah, serious ( ... )

Oh, I want to know everything! Even if I'm not too big on other fandoms, I am always curious about the fandom cultures :D

And by the sounds of it you're not kidding about serious fandom-ing! I wish I could do stuff like that...I wouldn't even know where to start actually.

I wish I was a gamer. Really, I tried to play, what was it, Resident Evil 5, and I died. Twice. Within like ten minutes. This is how sad I am. What really makes it disappointing is that I would like to learn how to play but I don't even own a system (unless we're counting the DS ha).

Oh, it's dangerous to look for the good stuff when it comes to DT. Although that doesn't seem to stop me from everything else (books, comic books, dvds, t shirts, buttons, posters, figures...). I have a good set going on but I always want more...and that is very dangerous.

Oh and Amazon.co.uk....gonna be the death of me [me = my wallet]
