Okay - so I'm a bit late - but I'm late to EVERYTHING (though come to think of it, I've done this already, but there were only two comments so I didn't get to write a lot of lists and I love writing lists...I'm writing a new chapter of Better, does that make you feel like asking me to do lists? lol I'm hyper. yeah.)!

Oh where do I begin. I love the man/alien/Time Lord, but he does know how to piss me off.

1.) The way he can get so close and pull back so quickly that it gives you whiplash. Example: The way he acts in Christmas Invasion and New Earth and then the sudden feeling of abandonment in Tooth & Claw and the episode that will not be named.

2.) That he was always letting himself be kissed. It really did bother me.

3.) In Waters of Mars, when he has that holier than thou attitude. It's an attitude he tended to have (okay, all incarnations have, but it bugged me seeing it on him the most).

4.) The way he made it sound like his companions always abandoned him (i.e. The Next Doctor). Wrong Doctor, wrong.

5.) What's wrong with pears?! lol Okay so this is half-serious.

IKR?!?!? POOR PEARS, what did they ever do to him!?!? =( =(

This is interesting ... I seem to be in the minority in that I see a lot of abandonment even early in s2 - like in New Earth for example, if he hadn't swanned off into the elevator and left Rose to fend for herself 5 billion years in the future, then she wouldn't have been psychografted, etc etc. And in School Reunion, how he/the psychic paper/whatever, I'll blame him lol - he makes her the dinner lady. Not a secretary, or a PE teacher (she had a background in gymnastics), or the librarian - the dinner lady. Plus what you said in Tooth and Claw, and all these things kind of add up to make me want to smack him a lot in early s2, even without mentioning the Nameless Episode ( ... )
