OMG I HATED the Vampire Diaries, and I'm a fan of YA fiction and vampires in general. Just godawful.

I'm curious as to why you listed "On Writing", though. I haven't read it but my husband is a writer and he's said it's one of the best books on writing he's ever read. So why didn't you like it?

lol I couldn't get past the second page - and I love YA fiction and vampires as well. Soooo awful.

*sigh* Not to go against your hubby - but I think I just don't like Stephen King's writing in that book. I really do enjoy his short stories and such - but I didn't get what I thought I was going to get from that book. Maybe it's because I'm not a writer? I'm not sure, but it failed to grab my attention or make me understand. I don't know if that makes sense...

Misery is terrifying and fabulous. Have you read The Stand or the Dark Tower series? Those were my favourites of his, but I was curious what your thoughts were on them.

I'm looking forward to Misery! And I can say that I haven't read The Stand or the Dark Tower series - I'll have to give them a try :)
