I liked the conversations on Bruce's lifestyle choices from both Kal and Lucius. I think Lucius is one of the most interesting characters from the movie, and having just seen The Dark Knight I won't spoil you and will only say I think he continues to be one of the most interesting characters from the movie verse.

I like how you show the relationship in the little things, like Kal watching Bruce work and Alfred bringing him an extra breakfast.

Interesting letter. One question though. Is it supposed to be from Poison Ivy? Her canon first name is Pamela so I wasn't sure, though the love of plants and the last name Ivey imply that it might be.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm delighted Lucius continues in his awesomeness! The movies have done wonderful things with him, really working on his character in a way the comics haven't often.

Pamela was implicated in aiding and abetting Crane in the last arc, so she's a fugitive now--no real names for her. :)

I enjoy writing the little details in this series--it's always fun to imagine how daily life works for these two.

Thanks so much!

Ah, yes. It's been a while since I read the last arc but now that you remind me I remember.

Thanks.

No problem! I misspelled her last name in the first fic I ever wrote with her and have never recovered from the shame, lol...

Lucius! I have to say, he's one of my favorite minor characters, especially in the new movies. He knows what's going on, but also realizes that as long as he doesn't come right out and say anything, he can plausibly deny everything. And he looks out for Bruce and is a technical genius. *stops before blurting Dark Knight spoilers* I really liked his stories about Bruce's parents to make Bruce more comfortable balancing the parties with real work.

I LOVE what Nolan has done with Lucius, really drawn his character out and made him a full, vibrant personality. I'd never gotten much of a feel for him in the comics, but he's wonderful to write in movieverse. Glad you enjoyed! *is dying to see TDK*

Wonderfully done, Jen!

I enjoyed the scene with Clark hovering in the Cave and figuring after all that suspended animation, this was nothing. Poor guy. I always thought he got a bad deal being cut off from humanity so often in the movieverse. Now he's got Bruce to make up for it! :)

And Bruce is right about Lucius: one mistake he made was underestimating Clark's beauty. ;)

Great stories about Bruce's parents, though!

And Ivy! Looks like she's back in the thick of things!

Bruce thinks that remembering people's names and their children's birthdays means nothing? It's an old politician's trick, and works well on people.

Poor Brucie! He'll never realize just why he inspires such devotion. :)

Oh, the two lovers dining in the Cave is just fun! :)

Movieverse Clark is always fun to write because he treasures his humanity so much because he was so cut off from it.

Poor Brucie! He'll never realize just why he inspires such devotion. :)

I love him for doing it just because it's the right thing to do--and really the least he can do for people who he heaps work on rather unfairly, alas. He tries very hard and doesn't seem to realize it does matter sometimes...*pats him*

Ivy's on the move again!

Ivy's on the move again!

Which I love! If I was a DC villain, I'd be her! *hugs trees* ;)

I love your Lucius! He's spot on with the movie version.

I can't believe Ivy is hitting up Batman for money for her project even though she just thinks it's Wayne. Irony!

Hehe, that's a big relief since I haven't seen the second movie yet...

I can't believe Ivy is hitting up Batman for money for her project even though she just thinks it's Wayne. Irony!

*grin* That always seems to be happening in the comic books because he's this wealthy industrialist, just the kind of person she's likely to pit herself against. The irony is always so delicious... :)
