As he drew near the bench, he could see Bruce sitting, looking down at his hands resting on his knees. Rain had soaked his clothing and drenched his hair. Dick came closer and reached out his hand. Bruce looked up and smiled.
Dick flinched backward, his hand dropping.
"I win," said Bruce Wayne. "I win."
The Earth and Sky series was one of the first things I read in fandom. And this chapter was definitely the first to make me cry my eyes out. And I admired you to no end for knowing and quoting something as exotic as Sun Tzu´s Art of War.
Oh God, November. *sniffles* That wracked me up badly to write and I don't know if I could do it now, which makes it all the more precious to me. It always means so much to me that it has a strong impact on people, so...thank you so much.
So many from which to choose! But this chapter of 36 Views From Mount Fuji stood out to me (Ch. 9 of the Winter arc). Clark thinks Bruce is talking about himself when he mentions Dick's hero worship, instead of Superman:
Clark raised his eyebrows at Bruce's expression. "Oh, come on. It's only natural. I mean, you've taken him in, given him a fabulous home, become his mentor...not to mention you're..." He trailed off and made meaningful fluttering motions with his hands, eyebrows raised conspiratorially. "The kid would have to be made of stone not to worship you

Hee hee! Oh, Dick in Fuji was such a joy to write, he really stitched Clark and Bruce together, you know? I think it was my first time writing him as a very young boy, and it was a lot of fun! I'm delighted he worked--especially for you, one of the pre-eminent writers of wee!Dick out there. Seriously, I waited nervously to see whether he passed the Brady&Pervy test every chapter he appeared. :)

Dick is Joy. :)

LOL! He certainly did pass the test! :)
Oh, and I just had to mention Marble And Gold, a truly wonderful piece of Steve/Diana writing, especially this:
He is so delicate beneath her. She can feel his bones, fragile as seashells, under the skin as her hands bring him delight. His hair is like a net of sunlight, his body light as foam on the sea. Aphrodite, she thinks to herself, dazed with joy. He is like wrought gold, frail and shining, the unbreakable gem of his spirit blazing within him like a star sapphire

I'm very tempted to reply 'Everything!' Because it is utterly true.
But... MOTS, every word is so perfect, it just utterly made me fall in love with S/B. I can safely say that after I read it, I was never the same again! And the same can be said about Earth and Sky, of course. :)
*looks at your fic* Agrh, I could quote all of them!
This, just... I just love it so much. None of his careful plans had allowed for Clark reaching out to brush fingers across his face, the smile vanishing into concern. None of his dry runs had considered the possibility of Clark wrapping his one arm around him in a clumsy hug, holding him up, no stronger than an ordinary man, but strong enough to hold him up.
Certainly none of the scenarios had included the fact that seeing those blue eyes seemed to shift the whole world back into color, that hearing that voice moved the world back out of some dark silence.*hearts Bruce and Clark

OMG, the first quote, I...I don't remember what it's from. o_o Is it the last chapter of Earth and Sky? *is really embarrassed*
I like it, though! :)
Four First Kisses is always going to be on the top oif my personal favorites, for so many reasons. One is that I was really happy with how romantic and driven Bruce comes across as. 36 Views is interesting for me because it's really...all of a piece, in my mind. I don't really have scenes I super-love about it, I just have a happy warm feeling about the whole series because it was so fun to write.
Your Haiku fic is just beautiful and breaks my heart every time I read it.
Eeeeeee! *flails and hugs little Haiku-fic* I'm awfully fond of that one just because it came out of nowhere and really worked for me personally, so I'm delighted it's there for you as well!
Oh, I love how you made it Gotham that made Bruce leave Atlantis, not Clark (though he may have played a part, lol). That is ALL Dan's doing. I was so torn on where he would go and how it would end up, and I knew in

*giggles a little* It's from the second chapter of Memento Mori, when Bruce and Clark meet again after everything. That bit just really stuck with me. :)
It wouldn't fit here =P, but consider October, November, and December from E&S quoted in their entireties. Especially December. I don't usually reread stories, whether they're fanfic or published works, but I couldn't stop going back over those chapters!
Also:
He knelt and picked up a clear, glittering fragment, and as he stood up the sun came out from behind a cloud and the structure burst into cold flame around him.
He stood in the middle of the structure, the crystals catching the low, late fall sunlight and magnifying the beams into a bewildering web of sunlight on crystal. Rainbow shards of light glowed around him in the vast silence. He suddenly felt trapped, like a fly in amber. Would he go back to find that years had passed in Gotham while he stood here, dazzled with the light? Why had he even come here? To find something to help him understand...but what could a human understand of a place like this?
Still one of my all-time favorite descriptions of the Fortress. :D

Indeed, that might not fit in a comment. :) But awww, thank you. It's funny, I don't usually re-read much either, and I've realized I haven't re-read E&S for a long time. I've forgotten chunks of December, but November is still almost verbatim burned into my mind, lol.
That entire scene is definitely one of the best NC-17 scenes I've ever read.
Hee. *blushes* It was one of the inspirations for the whole series, along with the club scene! I'm still really fond of that one--it happens to hit all my voyeuristic kinks at just the right angle. :)
Eeeee....gah, this is such a fun meme, not in the "pet my ego" sense per se (although hey, that's a bonus) but in the sort of fun of knowing what pops into peoples' minds first. And I loved writing Bruce as very demanding and almost princely here, so I'm delighted it's stayed with you. *dances*
