Yeah, I debated having Clark be angry: "You used me as bait!" But I mean, he knows he's safe, so why not be put to use that way, if it distracts the assassin from where bystanders might get hurt? I just couldn't see him freaking out over it. So the scene went off very smoothly and I thought they worked together quite well--I'm glad you thought so too!

Bruce so gets a kick out of seeing Clark all flustered even if it might annoy him. Even though he won't admit it Bruce wants to find some flaws in that perfection that is Superman.
Oh my god Clark is so going to get killed in Akihabara but by the crazy Otakus and abundant Japanese school-girls that will glomp him...
And the cosplayers! *OMG* please let there be cosplayers!
In another note, Batman confronting Kyodai Ken and repeating "It was quick" all over and over really got me :(

LOL, with any luck he'll be able to stay in civilian clothes and avoid the worst. Cosplay...no way Clark's letting Bruce drag him into a maid cafe! I'll have to come up with some plot-related reason they get forced into one in a later story, but for now I think Clark will merely be gaping from the sidewalk.

Me too. :( Glad to share the angst a bit! (Why should I have all of it, after all...)

Bruce is entirely made of woobie. And awesome. Clark is made of dorkalicious awesomeness too. Loved the scene with the fangirls! heheheee, I want a picture with Superman :S not that I would be bold enough to ask for one, but yeah. I love how they communicate with their eyes there!
"There are motivations for Kyodai more powerful than the need to complete his contract." The low voice was perfectly level, so perfectly level that it was startling. "We're going to take advantage of that."
...damn Bruce. He's exploiting Kyodai's desires to hurt him? 'I know he'll try anything to tear my heart out, let's try him!' ...it's so like him, and the kind of thing that ends with him getting his heart torn out. Stupid Bat *mumble mumble*
"Or is there something special about this innocent as well?";.; Seio was special! No hurting Bruce's special friends, damn it ( ... )

You know, that's a good point, that they're starting to understand each other well enough that they can talk from a distance like that. This chapter was kind of full of unspoken understandings, which made my heart happy after all the silly misunderstandings they've been insisting on having.

*wibbles* I know! He thought Kyodai would just try to kill Clark and knew he was technically safe, but he hadn't counted on Kyodai taunting him like that (although he should have!) So, uh, yeah--Bruce's reaction to being told Seio probably died wondering why Bruce wasn't there to save him...that's why he wouldn't let me in much in this story, because I think he wanted to lie down and cry.

Superman mobbed by adoring schoolgirls is something I can see very clearly, somehow. :)

LOL! I can't wait to see that...
Great job, Jen! It's nice to see Kyodai finally get what's coming to him. The animated series episode was so... unfulfilling, I guess. He got away, but Bruce proved himself... yeah, okay. But I wanted to see him get his come uppance, and now he finally did.
I love the part with the schoolgirls, and the conversation they have with their eyes. It's wonderful!
Wonderfully done, as always Jen.

The gadgets! The games! The geekery! I'm about two paragraphs in and I'm already loving writing it. :)

Yeah, if I were better at writing fight scenes I would have had Bruce thrash him in even more detail, because I was enjoying it so much. :)
